Tanks Pro Vs Regular Play

Rainfall··1 votes·352 views

so a lot of people have created threads about the "tank meta" and how tanks are played so oftenly in pro play. in regular play not many players want to pick tank supports especialy in the lower ranks with the exception of Thresh , so riot created a broken mastery http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Stoneborn_Pact to make tank supports more attractive to players, now pro players are abusing it picking only tank supports in most games for that particular mastery.

Well let us hope that support Sion never goes over .65% or .5% pick rate. I mean every Thresh Blitzcrank just loves to hook a big angry undead giant.

The most picked supports in order of pick rate at most elos is Thresh Janna Blitzcrank Lulu Braum If you're talking about bronze or silver the Lulu Braum is a LeonaMorgana

3 are tanky hook / catch champions (Blitz / Thresh / Leona) 3 are basically utility picks (Janna / Lulu / Morgana) 1 is basically a stereo type tank (Braum).

Other common picks are Rakan Soraka Alistar Nami Sona

It's basically a near even split pickrate wise of Utility or Tank on the support lane.

As for stoneborn of all the support picks mentioned in this post only Braum players use it regularly. Every other tank listed in this post uses Colossus in the majority of games.

Btw this tank meta is mostly a rehash of the cinderhulk bs when it first came out (Tank Jungles, Juggernaut or some type of Cc top lane ).
