Why the Morgana favoritism?

8.9. Almost every mage gets a mana regen buff, coupled with more base mana, but less mana growth. Except Morgana, she just gets a mana regen buff.

8.12. Almost every shield that can be cast on an ally gets a duration or strength decrease. Except Morgana, she keeps her 5 second spell shield and all the magic absorbing strength.

Now I'm not going to say Morgana is overpowered, but it seems interesting in these patches where champions have been ruthlessly coupled together and nerfed in the same way (Why again was Teemo, Diana, Galio, and Heimerdinger considered mages anyway??) (Why is Orianna shield a problem when she isn't even a support?) But Morgana just gets this special treatment, better be careful not to nerf Morgana!

Anyway... Yeah have fun Morgana players, lol.

Morgana is not just a support. Morgana shield cannot be spammed the way the others can do. Morgana shield is primarily for the cc protection bot... not reducing damage. And she takes far more skill than many other bot lane mage supports due to the ability to avoid her damage and cc via minion block. Her spells are also quite mana intense with moderate to long cd's while dealing less damage than others w/o having ap items to buff that damage.

Ori shield change I disagree with... but the others were pretty well deserved... perhaps lengthening duration of lulu shield (compared to what it is after the changes kick in) would be in order, but otherwise I agree with them.

And you also have to consider morgana mid. Nerfing her shield would basically make her b or c tier mid; unable to lane against anything remotely meta. I believe zyra mains know this pain and brand mains got undeserved buffs to damage awhile back due to complaining that their champ had been forced into support only role. Why wish to create a similar situation with morg?
