Why isn't there an AD/armor item?

Not a single one, when there are plenty of AD/MR items. Like what are you supposed to build as any AD carry vs any AD assassin? As any AD assassin vs any AD carry? Talon vs Zed? Wukong vs Riven? There are so many scenarios where I wish there wasn't this hole in itemization. Idk if Rito has forgotten about it or if they have some good reason for not doing it.

Because Marksman would abuse it to hell, just like they did Sterak's Gage. Such an item would render Assassins obsolete because they wouldn't be able to burst down a Marksman who got both Armor and AD without giving anything up for it.

If they made it melee-only, then Assassins would still abuse it to hell.

^ this dude has logic in his argument. Remember Atma's? It was so nerfed and unplayed because otherwise it would have been stupid broken.
