My condition for removing normal draft

I always play the game to get better. I'm a high elo player (well, I've slumped down into low diamond for a variety of reasons but still...) and my friends are all silver/gold/low plat. I never play blindpick because I don't find it enjoyable. While the queue time is shorter, I have to deal with people who auto lock. The role or champion(s) I'm trying to practice is/are not guaranteed to me, and I really hate mirror match-ups. Mirror match-ups play different from regular match-ups in a way that I don't feel helps me improve at the game.

Naturally, when I want to play with my lower elo friends, I play normal draft with them. Sometimes we play ranked 5s, but ranked 5s isn't always available and not all 4 of them are always online at the same time. I can't play ranked with them because of how much higher I am in elo. The only real way I'm able to play with them is through normal draft.

Personally, I don't care about the extra queue time for normal draft because it means I get to play a game of at least decent quality - something I'm willing to wait for. If normal draft is to be removed, I would like to kindly ask Riot to make ranked 5s more available, or offer me some way to continue playing with my friends that doesn't involve blind pick. Even ranked 5s might not be enough, since it requires 5 people being online, but it'd be better than nothing.

Please don't take away the one format that allows me to play with my friends in an enjoyable way where I'm still able to focus on improving myself. If you guys insist on taking away normal draft, please provide a reasonable alternative other than blindpick. Please please please! Thank you!
