Spear of Shojin has to go. Its too OP on a few Champs

It has too much that champs like want.

Its the perfect item for them and makes them basically unkillable.

The passive on it needs to go.

You can nerf something without deleting it. It's entirely possible.

It doesn't need to go, it just needs to be changed into it's Nexus Blitz version, where it was a defensive item.

Won't happen, Riven is Riot's top lane baby. Even if they remove the item they'll give her significant buffs to make up for it because 'muh skillcap'.

The passive is identical to old item 3508 .

What makes this item so good for bruisers is that it now gives HP and loses the mana gain that they don't need and makes for an extremely gold-efficient item.

The passive is not the problem. The HP is the problem and how gold efficient this item is which makes an extraordinarily attractive purchase

Eh. The passive was considered an issue on Essence Reaver as well. An item for ADCs was being picked up by fighters, so Riot just turned the passive into a fighter item. There were complaints about it before SoS.
