man i can't believe this game is going to be playable again.
riot is finally bringing back old solo queue which means i don't have to deal with waiting 5 minutes to get into champion select and 2 minutes of pick / ban phase.

I don't think that they're bringing back the old champion select. I think the new champion select is staying. Also dividing up the queues will probably not decrease queue times.
You're very confused. Your wait times will be just as long (possibly longer, as you won't have premades forced into Support) with Solo Queue.
As stated below, the New Champ select is staying, and Queue times will probably be longer because of the divided Queue.
There is such thing as elo hell, when you are gold 3 and still have people rage quit and afk after 5 minutes and troll supports as well.
