These items should not be this strong. You should only be buying these items and having them be super good against tanks. Yet in their current state they are great against everyone.

Ever mage ever current builds void staff.

Every game ever has a black cleaver in it.

Any game that hits late has a last whisper item.

These are items that are meant to be built to deal with excess resistances, yet are insanely good buys when no one does.

My solution. Change it to bonus armor and bonus mr pen.

2 birds one stone. Builds diversify Damage goes down from all sources.

I’d also throw Bork into the ring, but no one seems to see how stupid that item is so fuck it.

tanks are not viable look at the win rates and pick rates tanks cant even survive early mid or most of late game anymore with the champs that are played. and i dont think pen is a problem it used to be 40% armor pen before so shhhhh the pen is fine tanks are the ones getting fucked not the squishes. you have item 3026 item 3053 item 3157 item 3102 item 3003 item 3812 item 3156 item 3231 item 3072 item 3118 item 3040 item 3027 item 3222 there are so many options to help you survive in most situations that the fact that your complaining about it is idiotic and im a tank main you wanna complain about getting shredded try playing a tank top with the current meta.

i read the entire post but what your saying is mostly in defense of those squishies. the problem atm isnt the penetration its actually atthe lowest it has ever been in the game. the problem is the rune system that stacks damage on top of more damage and your first statement of should only be good vs tanks late game is what makes me annoyed tanks dont even have a late game anymore lol let alone a decent laning phase. the penetration is fine its all the other free stat giving win lane runes that are making the game feel so shitty.

No. Pen is not at the same level it used to be. Last whisper and void staff used to be bonus armor and bonus magic pen. Imagine what you could do as a tank with 80-100 armor and 40-60 mr that can’t be reduced

And yes. The damage problem doesn’t only tanks. It’s effects squishies as well. I remember the good old days of not losing 1/3 of my health as an adc Tina stray ludens proc.

I’m aware. My problem is that this is suppose to be an anti tank item. Yet it’s extremely good in all situations. There could be zero tanks on the enemy team, and Champs will still build this item, because it’s too good.

like your argument isnt even valid though yeah ludens is annoying but the skill that hits you is what did al lthe damage then ludens hitting you with like 100 damage lol you have options around that as well as comp choices and also just abuse domination tree sustain like everyone else. Honestly 25% of total armor vs 40% of bonus armor early on it seems like its stronger later it isnt as good......... and again penetration isnt the issue its the rune system
