Katarina counters?

I just simply can never outplay a Katarina, she will always outdamage me.

This one time she did 1250 damage with one dagger she jumped to. You literally can't engage on her without being deleted.

This is sort of false. Diana doesn't counter Katarina as much as she did before because Katarina got a much better early game. All Katarina has to watch out for is her 6. Katarina can counter build this with Hexdrinker or by roaming (which she has more power over Diana). As for Kassadin, you have to be able to play Kassadin to counter Katarina. If you cannot, she can snowball out of control.

this is correct

i play a lot of katarina although i only play draft i have about 150k mastery points on her so i think i have some knowledge about it

diana is great against kat even against kat's level 3 all in because diana can harass kat with auto attacks instead of running away if kat tries to E+W+Q+E diana can avoid the second dagger

and kassadin does take skill but he still counters katarina if your'e good or at least decent

i also find artillery mages like xerath, ziggs, and velcoz difficult because they can play safe and avoid kat's all in while also poking her down from afar but like kassadin they take skill

anything with point-click CC and tanky champions like galio mid is a safe pick against her

i recommend not playing mages with shorter range like ahri or orianna

katarina also heavily punishes mistakes and that is why she is very good if mastered in lower elo but if you are playing a champion you have a ton of games on you may not out-damage her full combo but you can outplay her

Here's what you need to understand about kat, you need to stop trying to counter her with damage, her counter isnt in damage, her counter is in stunning and range. Kat can move from one spot to another instantly but only to her blade and to her enemies/friends, which means without those things within range of her abilities you can literally pick her apart, and lets say she gets right on you right? All her damage resides in her touching her dagger afterward(with exception of her ult) so if you can close the distance on her and prevent her from touching her dagger u can annihilate her.

So what? Not to long ago I also made a thread where I asked for Zed counters and many Zed mains/players were still friendly to help. Guess Katarina players are just as toxic as Riven mains.

It's cause they think their champ is super duper hard, when in actuality you just mash wqer for the kill, then instantly teleport back out because you picked up a dagger.

She's/he's unranked on their own account, as well as that I don't play on this account anymore. I made a new account on a different region where I mostly play on now. I only just use this account to create thread posts and comment on other's created posts.

Wrong - she can shunpo to enemies as well, then pick up a dagger for the reset. Yes, she can be countered by cc, but this can easily be eliminated by taking cleanse, buying quicksilver sash, buying banshee's veil, etc.

Best bet is to push her under tower early game and poke, and to stay away from daggers (which shouldn't be hard).

I find that Irelia is a good counter, with cc and damage reduction. In fact, if you look at the video for her w, it is actually against kata's ult, which does next to no damage when Irelia channels it.

Try hard cc´ing her and/or chain cc. Play passively early and wait for your Jungler to gank. Don´t go near her Daggers early, she has an amazing All-in potential on levels 2 and 3. If she gets fed anyway, try to outroam her or outpush her.

They say this new katarina is healither, but I'd much rather face old kat 10/10 times.

As a Katarina main, I always ban Kassadin because he's a giant pain in the ass if someone knows what they're doing on him. Other than Kassadin, anyone who builds Hexdrinker/plays super passive usually counters Kat pretty hard in lane.

Also, abilities like Zilean's Ult or GA also counter Katarina super hard later on because it denies her a reset if they revive.

Kat needs kills to snowball, so if she doesn't get kills, snowballing for her is gonna be much harder. Hope this helps :D
