Anivia starts being perma pick ban in competitive after ryze azir nerfs while perma being top tier in solo Q.. dont wanna hurt mains of that broken champion so we nerf items every 1 use instead of the broken champion himself.

Meanwhile galio mains deal with 3 reworks and gut after gut after gut after gut and now you guys are just kicking him when hes down right now lmfao

It's very hard to balance Galio because of the disgusting amount of utility he has. He makes Yasuo look like Ashe. Aoe knockup? Check. Huge damage reduction for an ally? Check. AOE taunt? Check. Fantastic mobility? Check. Waveclear? Check.

Anivia isn't perma pick ban in competitive, at least not LCS. She might see play here and there but mostly was played as a pocket pick (like how some people will pick Leblanc Syndra occasionally) and honestly, Anivia pretty much loses in most LCS matches she was in this season so far...At least I don't rem seeing any Anivia's win in Season 8 between NA and EU (don't know about other regions).

Galio is and was a strong pick and actually was picked way more than Anivia with a lot of success in LCS.

Galio desperately needs a power rebudget.

He's in the same place as Ryze (i.e. a ton of his power is budgeted into his ulti bc it's so good in competitive) but he doesn't have nearly the same skillcap -- or the same level of WR improvement in the hands of his best players in soloq. He's strong under certain circumstances, but he's strong in a way that feels absolutely awful to use atm. He's the worst combination: strong but very unsatisfying. Would love to see it fixed, but I have low hopes for that.
