Riot removed Homeguard, but made the effect avaliable for everyone after 20 minutes of game

This was a great change indeed. Other enchantments weren't bad, but due to its effect, Homeguard was just so useful that it was mandatory.

Now I have a question.

When Riot will do the same thing to summoner 4? Yes, this is a summoner spell, not an item enchantment. However, Flash is mandatory almost all times, just like Homeguard. Its effect is so useful that I feel that Riot should just delete it and make it avaliable for any champion. This would allow other champions to use other spells with more freedom. For example, if mages were allowed to use summoner 3 / summoner 21 they would be able to counter assassins at mid lane. They can't do that because they would sacrifice Flash, which has a effect that is mandatory, especially if the mage in question is immobile.

There are very few champions who don't need to use Flash. Generally, those champions have in-built low cooldown escapes, or they make better use of summoner 6. Examples include Hecarim, AD Fizz, Olaf, and Shaco.

This has been suggest a hundred times already and Riot never seems to address it. This would be the game a whole lot more interesting with a lot more of counter options.

The main problem with this is where would you put the activation key? The controls are kind of oriented around you having 2 summoner spells. Homeguards is an effect where as you have to actively push a key to use flash.

tanky defensive item with low cost or trinket upgrade that disables wards.

Now you get to decide what's more important: vision or having flash.

I disagree with both of these options, and also suggest highly that the ward thing will NEVER come to fruition. As Riot has stated, Season 6 is all about controlling vision, with the new Sightstone, new Wards, and new Ward Dust. I suggest you just use the T key for one of your summs (as it's in close proximity to everything, and isn't really a stretch for your finger at all, and honestly, can feel a lot more natural than D. Anyways, my thoughts on this. As for the tanky item, still shouldn't be an option, as the suggestion was for EVERYONE to have Flash, and not EVERYONE is going to build a tanky item (this also goes for the vision trade off)

I need a bit of context why it was removed please. I myself buy homeguard really early because you get back to lane faster, you can surprisekill someone with tp and etc.

I mean who expects an Urgot (yes, I'm one of those hipsters playing our mecha spiderzombiegeneralthing. Gotta love him :D) running after you after you pushed in the turret, switching you into it to kill you afterwards? Many kills have been made like this.

I know of people buying the red and green enchamtments. Only the captain and distortion don't see much love.

Let it stay in the game please :X It's pretty standard in my buildingpath and it's fun as heck.

(Although stuff changes pretty hard in 5.22 and you gotta adjust to a lot of things.... But Homeguard!)

Look at the timestamp, friend.

Their biggest concern I think is that they're afraid having 2 summoner spells other than flash would make champions too strong, or make it so there's button creep.
