For the first time in many, many seasons their role is not 100% mandatory and they have no idea what to do with themselves. They have never experienced what it's like for their role to get actual nerfs. Keep the salt coming this is glorious.

It just means that the people who actually play Botlane prefer to specifically play Marksmen. Sometimes people just keep picking champions because that's what they want to play. The horror. An Akali main certain wouldn't understand that.

Or how about the fact that globally, Botlane as a role has dropped in playership since 8.11 from being tied with midlane as the most played at the end of season 7(proof right here using the Wayback Machine http://i65.tinypic.com/2it4do8.jpg ) to being lower than support as of right now(again, proof: https://www.leagueofgraphs.com/champions/main-stats/all ). If this new "diversity" was what botlane players actually wanted, it could be argued that the play rate of bot lane would go up, not down. Instead, it has decreased pretty exponentially just since the end of season 7.
So my question is, who was this diversity for? Because its patently clear that a good majority of botlane players did not want it.
