Maybe they just want us to forget

And move on, because sweeping something under the rug for months on end isn't exactly a new approach for Riot.

  • Forget how long you've neglected Rengar?
  • How little you listen to even sensible mains with constructive criticism after tweaking a champion in an unheathy way?
  • How long you avoided nerfing Twitch - at least if you weren't going to address why he was doing so well?
  • How you gave us tons of Turret-shredding tools with no compensation to turrets? (lol incoming 300? HP buff, WOW!)
  • How you left us in Ardent-City patch after patch?
  • How Bruisers' ineffectiveness regarding doing their jobs wasn't addressed?
  • How about how you made the class designed to utilize their kits functionality + base effects/damage to get through lane into a class focused on items that do their job by buffing scaling carries through their weak points/lows? Then neglected to address the impact it was having.
  • How AD+Armor Pen itemization has been favored over AP for quite a while?
  • HOW YOU WORRY less about delivering a solid player experience to NEW and VETERAN players, and more about your esports, champion/item favoritism, and accumulating a large quantity of either cash or players?

What is this company even doing anymore? I remember when Riot was all about the players, for the players, etc. Inb4 a comment, "but they're big now and don't have time for that / need to worry about the masses due to growing." Just keep in mind the PLAYERS are what keep their game alive and as a result, without a sustainable experience for all players, they're going to struggle long-term to do that.

Instead of making a new title. They're trying to move their consumer base to a new market.

Eventually they'll bleed out most of their playerbase by trying too hard to manipulate them into a different game.

I'll never really understand why the market powerhouses thinking that unapologetically adopting aspects of the designs of titles which attempted to compete against you and failed is a good long term strategy.
