Thunderlord's Decree is a very flawed Keystone for one very simple reason.

Auto-attacks count. Even non-empowered ones. I'd be cool with empowered auto-attacks counting (Talon Q, Tumble, etc). But only as 1.

My logic behind this? Auto-attacks are inherently sustained damage. Thunderlord's Decree exists to compliment burst.

Currently it's being picked on anything and everything to create burst. Even on the sustained damage dealers that I'm sure Riot always intended to have choose Warlord's Bloodlust, Fervor of Battle, or Deathfire Touch.

ye that and abilities like mf E shouldn't proc by itself

Yeah, and I like the way Riot has nerfed 'Make It Rain' on PBE instead of just removing its interaction with TD.

miss fortune was obnoxious and broken regardless of Thunderlord's state of balance.

To be fair that spell deserve damage reduction for how large of an area it hits and also the slow in causes. The fact that it also proc thunderlords is just insult to injury.

also the slow

This, I feel like people overlook that the reason this is good is because it offers a 60% slow at a massive range on a champion that does so much damage she has no business having that sort of utility, and sacrifices almost nothing for maxing it first. If an immobile champ like Jinx or Twitch get caught in it they can't even attempt to trade or they will die.

If you change that, it will become much more niche but not really weaker. It will just be very clearly defined who wants it. For example, I wouldn't be able to proc. it with Zilean anymore if I want more burst but it would be just as strong as it is now on Ryze.

Heimer's rockets trigger TLD despite it being a single spell.

Yeah, but it's not an AoE, Auto, or a DoT. It's 3 projectile skillshots in 1 ability. You miss one rocket and it won't proc TD.

Dominick Destine1 votes

What's your point? it's a single spell.

And it's more than three rockets, obv.

Yeah, just referring to how many usually intersect near a target unless you're firing them to a point.

I just mean that it's a lot different to DoTs and and Auto-Attacks in terms of what the reward should be. You hit someone once with a Dot and it will proc TD. You get in range of an ADC and they will proc TD without having to use a single ability. It's just not what that keystone was made for. It's not what Riot had in mind for it.

I can tell you now, the Rioter(s) who worked on the Masteries would have been thinking about Burty Champions and Bursty Champions alone - Burst Mages and Assassins.

it's multiple instances of damage, it doesn't matter if it's a single spell or not.

it's multiple instances of damage

So is Corki's autoattack, what's your point? it is not meant to work this way.
