So is ranked even worth the frustration and time to climb?

I had a team that kind of just fed all game and I tried my best to help them all out as the jungler, was the only person to upgrade my trinket to counter the enemy vayne despite telling the ashe to do so when she died 3 times prior, tried to push objectives, and ping for my team to not chase the enemy and they did so anyways. And most of my deaths and other team mates deaths were tied to them tower diving after the first tower went, just to note.

Unless you're aiming for pro play in 5 v 5's, no.

Unless you're really good and can carry your team until the high ranks where they're actually good, then no, not really worth it.

I really dont know why anyone even bothers with the way the community is. I'd rather play bots that even attempt to play ranked. Seems like a waste of time just to get a title and a border. Bragging rights doesnt even seem applicable... Just makes you sound like an asshole.

Bragging rights makes you sound like an asshole? Have you never been proud of an accomplishment? You don't feel more satisfaction from winning a tough game against skilled opponents than you do beating the shit out of bots?

Alright, yeah, I see your point. Though I see the same old 'I'm better than you because I'm diamond' or some shit more often than I'd like to. It's just obnoxious and a real turn off to playing ranked.

Ya that's different. Those people shouldn't be interacting with other real humans beings.

I can say is it's just you getting more respect from the community as a whole, your opinions are taken over more because climbing that high means you have a better understanding of the game than lower ranking players. It's why you hear about players like Gosu all the time because he reached where he is through skill alone. It's just hard to deal with the frustration of playing with people you know you're better than when trying to climb.

I think ur at the rank where u are better than everyone else, but not enough to carry single handedly. Those games could be really frustrating because u win lane lose game. But u should still have about 55%-65% win rate if u are truely better than ur current rank. U will climb up if u deserve it. Keep in mind that if ur team mates suck, then so do ur opponents, they are selected from the same pool of players and ur opponets could've easily been ur teammate or ur teammates could have easily been ur opponets.

They can both suck, but one has to suck less in order to win. So it just depends on whoever gets the better player aka ranked is luck

When I started doing rank on my smurf, I screwwed around with my placement and ended up in silver, but i proceeded to have about 80%-90% win rate all the way up to plat mmr, sure u can say that I lost 10% of the games because of bad luck, but every game that I lost, I could've done something better and maybe won. This game is more about skills, but people use "luck" as an excuse for losing.

Edit: there is always room for improvement, if ur stuck at a elo, don't blame ur team, blame urself

That sure explains the 0/19 zilean i had two games in a row during my plat promos. But it's my fault that they suck right? "oh but u shoulda helped" Hes unhelpable. I don't care if u go 1/3. Just please, not 0/19

it's a game, ranked is only worth it if you think it's worth it. Like you can go for achievements or just play through a game. Neither play style is wrong it just depends on your preference.

Depends on how much you want the rewards (skin, icon, border, bragging rights) and how much you want to play with more skilled players.

For me, winning a ranked game is more rewarding because it's more challenging than normal. In ranked, u get matched with players that are around ur skill lvl (there will be feeders sometimes but everyone has bad games). In normal, sometimes u face really bad enemies and sometimes u get rekt by higher elo. In rank, u will notice ur improvement as u climb higher and higher, and that feels really rewarding. But in normals, it's hard to keep track of ur progress and improvements. Rank is only more frustrating because ur elo is on the line, but that's also what makes it more rewarding when u do win.

Every time I play ranked I end up telling myself I'm never going to play it again. I play one game later hoping it'll get better, only to be as disappointed as I was before. Trust me, just stay away from ranked. All it does is put you on tilt and stress you out, especially when you get the inevitable troll/AFK. There is nothing worse than seeing a full AD Garen run down mid lane just feeding them kills.
