If Triforce is losing its AP

Can we get secondary AP ratios to be buffed? There should be no reason to be afraid to overbuff the main build now. Ex. Aatrox, Lucian, GP, have all enough AP scaling abilities to do stuff with them, but the actual scaling is just so sad... and please don't remove AP Cait.

Yordle Snap Trap

REMOVED: Magic Damage. NEW EFFECT: Now utilizes a stock system. Maximum charges are 3 / 3 / 4 / 4 / 5. Duration reduced to 90 seconds from 240. NEW EFFECT: Being Root icon trapped now grants an immunity to further traps placed at that location for ~4 seconds. This immunity is lost if you leave that location.

Wha? No more Cupcakes of Mass Destruction? I always thought it hilarious when I ran LichBane/Deathcap and someone randomly stepped on a Cupcake thinking to clear the "harmless nuisance" out of lane. I could also mention her Net scaled harder than several mage abilities (though it had Lux level cooldowns).

Did RIOT say Triforce is losing it's AP? Quote?

I dont really think Gangplank would care. Honestly the cdr is much nicer on him than AP.

AP scaling is just to prevent certain champs to scale to well with their main damage source or to give them good baseline abilities.

If Gangplanks ult was AD it would be scaled down heavily and he would be countered more by armor.

AP GP has always existed. Now, since Triforce won't give him AP anymore, it wouldn't be dangerous to buff his AP ratios, since they've been nerfed on rework.

I'm confused on how buffing the ratios would be an appropriate compensation for removing AP from triforce. In standard ad/bruiser builds they are not really be getting that much additional AP on top of the triforce, so boosting the ratios has little effect. You are just making AP off builds stronger while creating little change to the main build.

A more appropriate compensation, if actually warranted, would just be minor increases in base damage (more in the mid to late levels, leaving early base damage alone).

That's precisely what I'm saying. Triforce was keeping AP offbuilds over nerfed so as to balance regular builds, now this problem doesn't exist anymore.

I don't think 30 AP from tri force is what was keeping AP off builds over nerfed. They actually all have very good AP scaling already. GP has 0.9 for W + 1.2 total for ult; Lucian has 0.9 for W + 0.1 per shot for ult; Aatrox has 0.6 for E + 1.0 for ult.

It is the fact that a majority of their skills scale off of or better with AD, along with their autoattacks, that is keeping the off build down. It is the high AP scaling on a skill or two that makes off builds _somewhat _ viable that grants them the off build potential in the first place.

I heard of Riot justifying Lucian's low ult scaling or someone else in a similar situation by talking about "Triforce abuse". And no, 0.1 isn't enough. Go and try and play him AP. You'll very often get 3 ticks off, not more. I'm surprised ADC Lucians use their ult at all in TFs.
