This is boring... Need AoE comp and more comebacks

Watching IEM Katowice... Teams are swapping and straight clearing turrets. Not fighting. Then the snowball starts to roll. After a certain stage, we're just waiting for the game to end.

The missing secret ingredient, I think, to bring back the excitement of Season 2 is AoE comps need to work again and allow for comebacks.

Hopefully the immobile mage rework mid-season will help out with bringing back the aoe comp.

Your thread is interesting, considering all those complains about easy comebacks if someone fails teamfight. Did u watch TSM vs EVER? They were far ahead, very farm. They misplayed, EVER made comeback and won game.

Nowadays we have 2 different types of complaints

  1. Death timers make comebacks easy
  2. Snowball makes comeback impossible.

People need to stop complaining.

Death timers do not make comebacks easy. Agree with 2.

Honestly that was a super noob mistake on the part of TSM. U seldom get that sorta series of mistakes ever from any other pro teams or even Gold rank onwards. The baron was unneeded. Also that bard's ult nullifying 2 players. Furthermore, u need to factor in baron's dmg and 5-men terrible positioning accounts for more of that comeback than damage dealt or skill discrepancies. So in that sense, u can't count this as a typical game... It's an outlier of a game

Honestly, you may not see a return of the AoE Comps, as far as ive noticed, any champion that has an impactful AoE ulti, either hasnt been getting adjusted to keep up with the meta, or if they end up being popular at all for any reason, quickly get nerfed out of popularity. Sure a few champs with decent AoE spells may sneak through, but i wouldnt count on it. Rito seems to want the siege meta, with its "flashy plays" of 5v2 tower dives, and thats the way the balance is going to shift.
