i mean srsly it's way too long ang way too easy to hit

ok... it's up every 5 seconds
Merc's treads are your best bet, but banshee's veil works amazingly well too. Really you just need to dodge/block/lower the duration of his silence to dodge his rupture and beat him. It's on a 13 second cooldown and can be lowered to like 7.5 seconds at the very most. If you can't burst him down before then he's been fed or he's building tanky and in either case it's more of an issue of letting him faceroll early game than being hard to deal with late game. Don't get me wrong I hate facing Cho'gath but you can handle him if you build merc's treads and get ganks.

i lvoe how you got down voted for knowing what your doing.
autoattack-based champs
AA-based champs.
If you're stacking AP anyways,
makes for an impressive pick-up.
Not being in melee range of an immobile champion.
If you have been silenced by Cho, that means you are right next to Cho. For you to be right next to Cho, you either have killed every other member of the opposing team or you are trying to dive their carry that Cho is correctly standing right next to.
If the former, you are winning the teamfight anyway. If the latter, the entire point is that Cho is countering you. Trying to ask for a counter to a counter (in this case a tank being able to peel) is bad game design; then you will just get an infinite loop of counters to counters to counters to counters.
^ well said.
actually since im a moron i tend to miss it XD
OP it's also worth mentioning that Cho is pretty much a mage tank. His high hp, high sustain, and high damage allows him to kill anything that can't burst him down or poke him faster than he sustains. Mages and assassins aren't so great against him. Take a fighter or marksman to counter him.
