Are chat-spam/macro/spambots bannable?

I've seen it a few times where somebody puts 500 msges into chat in half a second. Is that bannable? If I recall correctly it's bannable.

That sounds like it'd be bannable because of spam, not just because of macros.

Not sure if macros themselves are bannable.

A chat macro alone is not a problem. What it says may be, and putting 500 messages in is definitely a punishable offense for Spam whether done manually or not.
