Buff the active on Jax ult

Jax’s active on his ult is way too weak right now. Just getting bounus armor and mr isn’t enough so I propose this change. Jax reduces all incoming damage by 25/45/65% for 5/6/7 seconds. This will help Jax survive better because it is kind of bad when a Nasus who only has 50 stacks and a sheen can half health a Jax with one q or how an illoai can walk in to lane 0/3 with just a black cleaver and almost instantly kill Jax with her ult and jax’s Ult doesn’t even reduce the damage in the slightest.

His ult active is pretty stronk if you got enough AP/AD. That’s why rageblade is so good on him.

The problem is rage is not an item you can build every game on Jax. I used to do that and not play very good but after I switched to building trinity and titanic every game as my core items I started to improve a lot. Rageblade is good if your playing aginst less bursts champions and have longer fights.

Have you even played Jax? He is so hard to play right now because most of the champions he could abuse in lane have been buffed super hard

Illaoi is a Jax counterpick. He has counterpicks just like every other champion.

But why not-

When playing Illaoi, you outscale her, hard. Illaoi has a stronger early and mid game, but she falls off in the late game. Farm under turret, don’t die stupidly.

Take TP. Roam mid and gank for your mid and hope she returns the favor. Get tri, ninja tabs, Tiamat, sterakk. Finish titanic. Armor item of your choice (preferably dead mans or randuins) and a magic resis with some hefty HP. Sell boots for rage blade if the game gets that far.

For Illaoi, max Q before E so you can jump out of tentacle party or dodge E’s.

Get picks on AD and AP carries, DO NOT fight Illaoi in the jungle. You’re going to win 1v1’s after getting sterakk.

Mundo needs a rework. Like what is that champion. I'm huge and I throw cleavers and headbutt you, oh and I have insane healing. Redesign the champion and make him make sense.

Legit, if a champion's basic description is "run at you and be immortal", that's a bad design.

He is a masochist and sadist right? So make his passive only regen when in combat with an enemy champ, but improve the regen amount. Cleaver slow and spammability has to go from his kit due to how non-interactive it makes him. It basically removes his ability to be punished during his weakest phase of the game... barring outside interference. A champion's weakness should not just be "can die to ganks early". Yet that's basically the only way a smart mundo can be punished in lane. If mundo doesn't want to fight you... you can't fight mundo. If mundo wants to fight you... you can't not fight mundo.

I believe that last part is one of the reason's yasuo is so popular too.

I disagree with the last part about Yasuo because if that were true about both than Mundo would have a high playrate all the time even when he is bad but he doesn't.

If mundo wants to fight you... you can't escape his low cd cleavers and the movespeed from his ult - especially with the tenacity he gets in his kit. By the same token, yasuo's low cd dash allows him to run you down through your minions before EVENTUALLY using his dash on you. A bad yas will just dash to you first and then too bad, can't close the gap more so easily. But a good yas will use dashes to minions to stick to you for as long as possible before eventually dashing directly onto you. Which makes him much harder to escape from when he wants to fight you. I probably didn't explain that well in my original post.

Also... do you mean mundo or yasuo would have high playrate all the time? Because first you are talking about yasuo... and then saying stuff about mundo in same sentence so I'm not sure whom you are referring to there.

You can run away from your minions so Yasuo can't chase, Mundo always can chase.

He has a high pick/ban rate and drops to a 51% winrate in diamond+ so yeah he is strong even if you know how to play against him

Sure... and then we can remove his passive (attack speed), remove his passive on ult, and double the mana cost of all his abilities. Sounds fair to me.

Jax isn't a lane bully. Nasus is a soft counter at least... due to his w screwing over aa champs. Complaining that nasus q can nuke jax is no different than nasus suggesting that e no longer block auto attacks. Is that something you would want done to jax? No? Then don't make equally unreasonable suggestions about other champs w/o thinking it through.

Jax isn't weak. He doesn't need a buff. He is a scaling champ who scales insanely well, yet somehow is still bursty in laning phase and can simultaneously match most other champs' dps in lane too. His weakness is needing to scale to come fully online and a lack of lifesteal/sustain in his kit which is more than compensated for via items and how much jax scales off them compared to other champs. Any buff to him would have to be met with an equally harsh nerf to him somewhere else in his kit.
