You are actually going to make me defend Kassadin...This change baffles me:

I don't know how to react to this ,you are actually doing it. One of the characters I despise, rivaled only by select few like Riven and Yasuo.

And once again, you are nerfing him the wrong way. Once again you fail to understand where the problem lies in his riftwalk.

The problem lies in his passive. 15% unmitigated by penetration magic resistance (on top of MR). This is what makes him broken. Why? Let me elaborate:

There's 2 points in the game that have an important place in the game, early and mid game where the first teamfights happen. The advantage he has on the early gave against anything that has magic damage is obvious, so let me focus on middle game instead.

What is the most prevalent form of damage in the mid game? Burst. And you guessed it, that burst will mostly be in the form of magic damage. ADCs are usually not developed enough at this point to 2 shot someone and most AD champions (with some exceptions) don't have their damage in big bursts but either in channels (wu, panth) or in just lower amounts in general.

And that means that Kassadin mitigates the main form of damage at this point, which:

a) Makes him hard to punish after his riftwalk in a teamfight. Chances are he will mitigate enough damage for him to riftwalk out again. If this is a teamfight, it means that you will have wasted a lot of resources of him. At this point you either lose the fight or try to disengage.

b) Makes him hard to make a pick on, because, once again, he will have the required mitigation in order for him to riftwalk out of a cc sequence with a sliver of health, making it difficult to follow already.

THAT is and has always been the problem with Kassadin and yet for the past 1 year you keep on trying to preserve it.

The range of his Riftwalk doesn't matter. It's the fact that he always gets the time to riftwalk that does.

P.S.: Removing almost every silence in the game didn't help either. Talon says hi.

so i guess the unmitigated damage reduction from item 3047 is broken as well?

Actually, there have been periods of time where it was. Yes.

Lol the range on Riftwalk definitely does matter. He'll have to be much more intelligent about his engages, because he won't have a gapcloser with 50% more range than flash.

He won't be able to engage in general. There's nothing "intelligent" about it.

The problem is that he has burst in addition to a flash and nerfing his durability is going to make him feel more terrible to play than just making his scalings shit.

So what?

He is a mage/assassin. Squishiness at most points in the game is supposed to be one of the traits that comes with the role.

Or should I remind people of the Xerath rework?

Your saying that because he can jump away like trist and reduce someone's full combo by 100 damage he is op. With a lame 70 hp shield and little damage how is he suppose to do anything in a team fight? It just makes a champ with 1100hp actually have 1300 hp.

Everyone should agree that Kass has been Olaf'ed, or Eve'ed (or Azir'ed now since he has the largest win rate drop).

Yes.

Because the shield also scales with the passive.

It's not someone with 1300 hp instead of 1100. It's someone with 1800. The passive is on top of MR and the shield will scale off of it as well.

And ye, that makes a difference actually. Otherwise we might as well remove giant's belt from the game. (expecting it to happen eventually though, but due to this being Rito who hates tankiness.)
