Just wondering. Akali got nerfed in the update, so really, the only people that can utilize it decently are Kayle, Morde, maybe Kog, maybe Ez, maybe Vlad (just for obscene heals), I'm probably missing some people. Maybe Kata can use it too, if she so chooses. But yet, it's (300?) 400 off from being a Rabadon in terms of gold spent.

Alright, but how many champs are hybrid champs that can use both stats efficiently/without wasting stats? I listed some of the very few that can. These same champs will be the ones buying the item, which means the 3400 gold cost is for, maybe, 6 champs.

Yes, all the Ezreals at Worlds or MSI build Gunblade over the weak BORK. Things like Nunu I can understand to a degree, but MF?
Hell, go to champ.gg and find a champ other than a true hybrid stat user like Kayle, Jax, Akali...which is someone like Sona, Nasus, whatever...and find gunblade in their top builds. champ.gg is plat to challenger builds. Aka, moderate to high elo.
EDIT: Lemme give you a perfect scenario. You're MF, your ult does 2000 damage total without crits. Before resistances. You hit one person for the whole duration. You heal...100 health since AOE = 1/3 the heal. You hit 5 people for the whole duration. 500 health. But you know, resistances and the fact that she can be instantly cc'd cancelling it. It's so broken in this case. The AP it gives doesn't even justify getting it for the ult or her slow.

Things like Lux mid with grasp of the undying are pretty common, one thing you gotta realize about solo queue is, it's completely different than worlds. World championships are usually equal level playing fields across the board. In solo queue you can get away with strange builds and become a hypercarry in some of the most unusual ways.
If someone played AP MF in your ranked game before she was revealed at worlds you would most likely call that person a simple minded troll.
All kinds of builds bring shock and awe to this game, It's up to you to sit down and actually think about what you want in a champion. Using websites to show you builds and or masteries is great when you're a beginner, but there needs to come a time when you enter a game without those things and go, hmm this is who I'm playing against and I'll build this and that. 90% of the time in champ select I remake a mastery page before the timer ends, specifically for my opponent.
Telling the ones who are doing it, that it can't be done is absurd.
