Godhri6 votesNever. She's easily countered or beaten in lane if you know how to play mid lane. Against her, it's essentially a skill matchup regardless of who you play. I'll list for you a few champions that will give her a complete crushing in lane:

: EQW or just a simple W or simple E then walk away.
: Zone her immediately from level 1. Q her whenever she comes close. If she dodges with shunpo, then W and punish the hell out of her.
: Zone immediately. Q farm or control wave and use Q for poking purposes. If she is dumb enough to Shunpo in for a trade or farm, punish with EWAA+.
: Zone immediately. Just farm with AA and use spells on Kat whenever she tries to come close for farm.
: Zone immediately. E then walk away.
: Zone immediately. Level E first. E + walk away. Rinse repeat.
: Zone immediately. Pretty self explanatory here.
: You can either just zone immediately and then wave control or hard push. Hard pushing means you may lose more cs than you'd like though. I prefer the zoning method.

This sounds crazy but pretty much any carry champ dies if you "just stun lock them to death", idk why people think its THE counter to Kat and makes it impossible for her to be in a strong state...

We are/were talking about how she gets crushed in lane and you made a contention that it won't stop her from getting fed later. This is true, but since she is behind, she needs all the damage she can put out and this means landing a successful ult. Her QWE combos in all their variations aren't going to suffice if she is behind and severely starved of cs and/or kills.
Thing is, I never mentioned stun locking. I said "a team comp that isn't complete garbage". The point of stunning/ccing Katarina is to stop her ult. She doesn't need to be stun locked. You are right. Stun locking kills virtually any champ, but that doesn't make my point moot. It is still a good way to counter her.

Godhri1 votesShe can't farm from range if you are zoning her. This is what it means to zone someone. At most, she will be able to Q you, but she can't follow up on the Q otherwise she will lose trade.
Roaming is countered by map awareness and proper team coordination. If team heeds your pings, they will not die. If they don't, well, sucks for you and them. Anyone can get kills roaming if team doesn't heed pings.
Penns1 votesWell, if you think so. People say Fizz has a weak laning phase too but I dont have many problems all inning you at level 3 if you push lol. Also, how is Taliyah supposed to crush Kat? She probably wont ever land a W, Kat cant proc her E dmg and Taliyah doesnt really have an ult.
Godhri1 votesTaliyah is a strong laner. She can push lane easily. Kat will stand still if she ults. Taliyah doesn't need to land W to win lane against Kat. Furthermore, it's pretty easy to land W when you land E first as the slow makes it easy. The thing with Taliyah is that if you can zone Kat early on, you will win the lane. If you allow Kat to farm freely, with even farm/gold, Kat will probably rekt you unless you are really good with Taliyah.
Fizz is a completely different story.

I have also done this feat before, but I've gone against some decent Kats that were able to outplay me a few times. They still lost lane, but they were able to outplay me a couple times.

Godhri1 votesShe never countered Swain. The only thing about her that "counters" swain is her ult which gives grievous wounds, but by that time, swain will have zoned her out of too much farm for her to win a trade.
I've done this before. Just level up E first then EAA+ more AA if you feel like it and then walk away. She can't do a thing. Just keep E ing her and she won't be able to farm without taking too much damage. Eventually she will have to back and lose out on a lot of farm.

Asian Dwight1 votesKatarina is essentially dependent on noob farming. There are very few champs she can beat 1v1 in lane. In order to be relevant she has to get fed, which usually means roaming bot and getting easy doubles from low elo bot lanes.
So if you are playing bronze/silver with a team that won't listen to pings or has no map awareness, then your best bet is to try and follow her roam and counter it, which sucks, because why not just eat all that farm?
Once you hit Gold though, you won't really have an issue outside of the rare Kat main who is just very, very talented at playing to her strengths.
