Yasuo isn't super strong this patch just because fervor+tank. his ult bug change is a HUGE buff

King of Mongoose··32 votes·2,123 views

Yasuo just got the biggest buff he could have wished for this patch.

Yasuo has always been very strong, but he was always limited because of his ult bug where critical strikes wouldn't let him auto attack after ult. This would reduce his total damage by like 500 where he could auto attack immediately instead of after a second. So this is a huge buff in itself because he gets almost 500 more damage in a trade.

However, the second part is that for some reason he has a much longer ult tagging duration. Even if you knock someone up, you still have like .25-.5 seconds after they land to ult them. this lets you put in another auto attack before you ult which can be another 200-500 dmg.

what needs to happen is that frozen mallet needs to be nerfed hard/deleted and triforce needs some changes because every champ that uses it is dominating right now.

yasuo goes Fervor of Battle NERF FOB

yasuo goes Undying Grasp NERF UG

yasuo goes Warlord NERF WL

Rito: Continues to say he is balanced.

Fervor is OP, undying grasp has never been OP and to my knowledge I have not seen anyone say it is. I've seen some say it was subpar to other masteries though. As for warlord, I've seen some people say it was OP. (Although they were probably mad Yasuo outplayed them with like 10 health 😂)

It was OP, and people did complain about it. It drew huge complaints around the midpoint of the season, enough to where it was nerfed in 6.8 and in 6.12. For a while, it was the definitive OP mastery, and almost everyone took it top lane regardless of whether they were a tank, carry, bruiser, or whatever else.

Imperial Japan1 votes

Oh shit you're right, I forgot about that but it wasn't just Yasuo, It was top lane as a whole

Sightless662 votes

Oh yeah, definitely not a Yasuo problem. He used it, but everyone else did too.

GayFluffyUnicorn9 votes

U know what's the problem about yasuo and warlords? Afaik his fuckin tornado counts as melee and he gets the full lifesteal on hit. Same with undying grasp which applies to his shitty tornado.

Xeruon4 votes

It only applies to the first target hit, not difficult to stand behind creeps, really.

Melledoneus5 votes

You do realize we're talking about Yasuo, right? The champion who uses your own creep wave against you?

Seekêr5 votes

"the champion that uses your own creep wave against you"

Not for long Yorick >:)

Xeruon1 votes

You're just spewing mindless QQ at this point.

If a Yasuo dashes through every minion every wave, then he pushes super hard and leaves himself open for ganks, and also lets your safely farm under turret.

Melledoneus1 votes

Now you're putting words in my mouth.

Yasuo only needs to dash 2-3 minions to mess up your day. And if you try to run to your turret, boom more minions.

Imperial Japan1 votes

As Xeruon stated it only applies to the first target hit. Yasuo won't lifesteal to max HP off of one minion

DId you play in the first half of this season? There is a reason Grasp was nerfed twice. Legit everyone took it at the start of the season when Thunderlord's was bugged and Fervor was not good yet. And Warlord's has been completely changed, remember when it gave healing on crit and basically a permanent attacks speed buff for champs with high crit like Yas?

Imperial Japan1 votes

Read my comments, I already talked about my mistake of saying grasp wasn't op. I took it back already and said is was top lane as a whole.

Fervor on tanks/people who are building tanky is really stupid. I went Fervor on rammus and I did an obnoxious amount of dmg. Free 150 dmg an aa? Who wouldnt want that.

Xeruon5 votes

Yasuo is overtuned right now, I won't lie. I feel like decreasing his safety while increasing his potential reward for the risks he takes would probably help.

######(Also kill that fucking Tanksuo shit it's cancerous and destroys his original, intended playstyle)

Wyrmblade1 votes

I actually like tanksuo a lot better than critsuo, but I do think the extraneous safety on his ult (the shield recharge) needs to go.

Xeruon6 votes

Eh, Tanksuo honestly over-simplifies a high skillfloor/cap champion

Shaydrox3 votes

This Yasuo needs to generally make something happen to win a trade. Tanksuo's literally sit there tanking whatever's thrown at them, half the time they don't even lose their passive shield while killing someone.

Xeruon5 votes

Yasuo was made to make you feel like a master swordsman who could easily slay hordes of enemies by themselves...if you have the skill for it.

He needs to be rewarded for pulling off great plays, but you need to be punished for failing them too. Tanksuo completely nulls that high-risk-high-reward playstyle, and replaces it with a low-risk-high-reward one, which shouldn't exist under any circumstance.

Shaydrox1 votes

Exactly this. And playing vs Tanksuo is so fking dumb, you know no matter how good or bad he is, once he finds a minionwave to get to you you're dead.

Xeruon2 votes

Agreed. Yasuo gets a ridiculous amount of Tank Stats, and looses out on very little damage due to attack speed + decently high AD, effectively stat-checking you out of lane, and denying any hopes of a comeback on your side. Even if the Yas player isn't great, with that build, they will steamroll the game regardless.

WacingTheFind2 votes

As a 408k mastery points Yasuo main, that tried the Frozen Force build in ranked matches (my sincere apologies to the people I defeated using this build), I shall give my verdict:

The build makes it to easy, so easy that I force myself, when I play top Yasuo to go full crit build like a true man should do, even if not going frozen force reduces my chances of winning.

(Also getting multiple kills by myself doesn't feel as good, when you go full crit and get a 1v2 double kill for example, it was because you either outplayed them, or you were massively ahead, frozen force build is basically, hurr durr me too tanky but me also deal tons of dmg and me have tons of mobility and stickiness as well because itemz and masteriez OP)

didnt yas ult used to blink him around everyone who he ulted? or was this fiora?

DREADN0UGHT12 votes

That was old fiora.

Bodkins Odds2 votes

I still kind of miss Blade Waltz, nothing like diving in on the backline and then using a giant Yi Q to dodge all the CC while killing everyone. :D

DREADN0UGHT1 votes

It was the most cancerous ult i had ever witnessed.

Boxpencil3 votes

That was a bug though, and of course bugs have to be fixed.. they'll nerf tanksuo regardless though, so we'll have to wait on that. I, myself, am waiting for tanksuo nerfs too tbh.

GenghisEmo3 votes

Yasuo isn't "super strong" but he has become a bit more "less skill based" and now the Bug fix, a long with the bruiser build abuse, he has become a monster.

It use to be a death sentence to feed on Yasuo in Season 5. Now with the Masteries, free crit that is more consistent or bruiser build and a bit of an overloaded ult that had a fix he has blown up. Guy was primed for months now, but this is the period where he has been taken overboard. He is basically the Riven of S6... back in the day I would feed on Riven 0/5 then go 7/5 or 10/6, now people do the same with Yasuo XD.

The only issue I have with this is that if they nerf/delete Frozen Mallet, I won't be able to decently play Shyvana, a champion with literally NO WAY of sticking to targets once she gets on them, given that every champ nowadays has some sort of hard CC, dash/blink, or tanky stat buffs/debuffs (*cough Trundle *cough ).

King of Mongoose1 votes

good, she's a fighter/tank with good damage, a 3200 gold investment shouldn't allow her to stick. There's a reason they never included a slow in her kit

delete frozen mallet? because he autos and you get slowed wow might as well delete ashe passive too its worse shes ranged and applies to multiple ppl too with runaans have you see rylais on rumble, eve, singed? delete rylais too toxic cuz permaslow

King of Mongoose2 votes

ashe was designed around her passive slow, she's squishy and stuff

frozen mallet lets champs that were built around other strength have an additional strength

also rylais does need to be removed, same thing about giving champs, that were designed around not having sticking power, sticking power.
