Hey Riot, about Lucian...
Any chance you're going to, idk, actually re-balance Essence Reaver, the ACTUAL problem that's warping the ADC class, instead of dumping on Lucian until he can't function without it?
I mean even you guys have to know the fact that ADCs have insanely easy access to CDR is the actual problem. Lucian has always been a spellslinger-style ADC and previously had to make tradeoffs to hit the 40% CDR if that's the playstyle he was going for.
Now, no ADC has to commit much at all to hit 40%. Lucian is just the outlier best benefit of it, but that doesn't mean Essence Reaver is magically okay.
I mean hell, I love the item, cuz all the ADCs I enjoy playing are all similar to those spellslinger style characters (yes, including Lucian), but as someone who has had to watch Ezreal get shit on over and over every time theres a new item, since season 2 (since apparently you guys are adamant that his ADC playstyle is somehow healthier than his Mage playstyle), I'm hoping it doesn't start happening to Lucian.
The combination of the Fervor keystone mastery and Essence Reaver makes him really strong. I'm just hoping you guys realize that the problem isn't necessarily all Lucian himself, but the fact that there's an ADC item granting CDR vastly easier to ADCs, who already have two "damage multiplier" stats, while Mages still have to buy minimum 2 items with CDR heavily built into their cost in order to reach their CDR cap.
Just saying. You're doing the typical "fix the symptoms and not the sickness" thing that historically Riot usually opts for, and while I know all the non-Lucian players out there probably hate him (justifiably so with his current synergy with two overpowered aspects of the game), it's not the actual champion that's the problem: It's the ridiculously good "ADC-item-that's-better-CDR-and-mana-sustain-than-what-Mages-get" item causing easily-foreseen issues.
Just a random hope that you guys will notice that before you nerf Lucian into crap-town, cuz to be perfectly blunt Riot's track record with regards to later fixing champions they ruin because of some item/mastery synergy is downright awful, and I'd kinda like to avoid that if possible.
