Honestly as an ADC main i don't mind all this crazy shit going on bot...but

Before i go into the but,no pun intended, i just want to say it really feels refreshing not knowing who youre going to face bot lane,it feels nice to see different combinations of champions going there, hell i even heard supp mains rejoicing when they have a bruiser bot since he doesn't need babysitting so much and they can support the whole team better or roam more. I tried going morde bot, even tried Nasus bot,won both times and had a lot of fun.

But,i feel like either ADCs should start going other lanes or jungle, and its kinda ironic how people always cry when ADCs start being viable mid/top/jg (Lucian,Vayne,Twitch) or at least get some sort of rushable first item that has some defensive stats in it,so they can at least survive the laning phase.

The way Ezreal can buy item 3078 or item 3025 as his first item and not be a useless sack of gold for anyone that looks at him the wrong way, meanwhile item 3139 item 3156 item 3026 item 3072 are all good items, you just cant rush them as your first or you'll be complete dead weight to your team

Honestly just something like

40 armor 30 AS 20% crit

Passive: When brought bellow 30% HP get a burst of 50% ms for 1 second

I don't think its overbearing, its maybe even weak, but its just a template,it could be something completely different, but you get my point.

ADCs want change too,if you switch up the botlane switch up the marksmen class as well,we don't want to be babysitted,we don't want to go always bot,and we sure as hell don't want to feel squishier than a caster minion.

I always said, that i'd rather give up 30% of my damage to be 30% harder to kill, the thing is,as an ADC,you can't even think about buying anything defensive until you've at least bought your 2 core items, and by then the game could already be decided. Our only real options for early defensive items are item 3047 and item 3111 but i don't think its enough

Anyone else feel the same way?

Yeah I'd like to take some ADCs mid but it's a fucking joke if you're against an AD assassin

Actually Hexdrinker is a decent rush for an ADC into a mage unless it's LB because it literally doesn't matter what you build vs her

You can go into the but first. I don't mind.

In this season rigth now ADC isn't a good role to play cause of the one shot champions including zed, yasuo, kayn, etc. I mean there always will be fiestas at bot because If an ADc gets fed they most likely screw over the enemy game by just getting peeled. That's where assassins come into play.

Assassins are beyond ridiculous ATM. Diana at level 6 kills you in less than 2 seconds. Idk how are adcs gonna compete with this.

Everyone wants to play other shit in bot, which is all fine and dandy. But every single time an ADC starts being good in another lane, boy does the whinning reach astronomical levels.

Boards double standards at their finest.

item 1042 12% ===> 15% item 3006 35% ===> 40% item 1043 25% ===> 30% item 3086 15% ==> 20% item 2015 15% ===> 20% item 3046 45% ===> 60% item 3087 35% ===> 45% item 3094 30% ===> 40% item 3085 40% ==> 55% item 3091 40% ==> 50% item 3031 Unique passive: Force accelerator: Critical strike chance above 100% is converted into attack speed.

Marksmen are almost there, if riot is intent on keeping crits then giving them extra attack speed is a good idea. The IE buff is mostly just because it feels aweful to overcap on crit.

item 3031 Unique passive: Force accelerator: Critical strike chance above 100% is converted into attack speed.

Critical Strike above 100% converted into Bonus AD would be better.

Every 1.5% crit = 1 extra ad maybe?

So being 30% crit over = 20 AD

I would rather they just do the following

  • Reduce the Critical Strike chance on item 3046 item 3094 item 3085 item 3087 to 25% each.
  • Reduce the cost of the items by 150g each to offset the loss of Critical Strike.

Infinity Edge ADC's as well as Yasuo and Tryndamere would have a smooth 100% crit build without having 2x Zeal items giving 60% crit and an IE doubling it.

Essentially wasting 20% crit worth of stats and gold.

LolWiki says 1% critical strike is worth 60 gold.

That's 1,200 gold worth of stats being wasted.

Id really rather ADCs and marksmen in general be characterized by hitting fast and not bursting hard. Thats been the whole problem with marksmen itemization for years: Its slowly gone from damage per second to burst per second. The current IE is REALLY GOOD for attack speed builds who utilize crit but currently we lack the itemization to support that.

Which is the point of buffing the attack speed, and then giving IE overcrit to attack speed scaling. Especially when you consider we have a lot of ways to break the attack speed cap and thus frontload damage. 250x4 (250ADx2critx2ASP) is a LOT more preferable than 300x3.75 (300ADx2.5critx1.5asp), simply because dps feels a LOT better than bps.

It would also open the door for other kinds of champions to utilize crit itemization better, like nocturne or talon.

Riot:

STAY RIGHT THERE

I agree with this. I love that marksmen are no longer the only champions to lane bot as carries, and if nothing else, Riot deserves kudos for finally making that happen. It always bothered me to see marksmen get treated by this different standard from almost every other class, and be deliberately given enough power to be considered mandatory to every team, in spite of the harm this brought to diversity. However, by that same token, I think marksmen now also deserve the benefits to this: not only should they not be mandatory in every game, but I also think they should be sufficiently viable in more than just one position, as is the case already for mages, tanks, fighters and assassins. Done properly, it'd be just as refreshing to see marksmen go top, mid or jungle as it is to now see mages go bot, and the game as a whole could benefit significantly from the increase in positional diversity.

I agree, but people would lose their shit if adcs started going mid/top,they always do,they want diversity if it only means kicking marksmen out of bot,but i think its possible with the introduction of some new items that could be used as first buys to survive the laning phase vs assassins like Zed.

Also i think they're going in that direction with Kai Sa,she's basically self sufficient and can JG/Mid as well

It's true that some people just hate marksmen irrationally and only want to see them suffer, but I strongly suspect they are in the minority, and largely outnumbered by both marksman mains, and just more reasonable players overall. If there is one kind of objection I'd personally consider justified, it's that some marksmen in the past have been fairly unhealthy in solo positions, e.g. Vayne top or Twitch jungle. However, to me this just means that Riot has to be careful not to make marksmen oppressive, especially against melee opponents. If marksmen can be made healthy in solo positions (and we've seen some versions of that with Corki and Lucian mid), then bar perhaps some initial, knee-jerk opposition, they'd likely integrate well there for the whole playerbase.

I also agree that the main issue with marksmen going solo is that, at least right now, most marksmen are designed as late-game carries. Mid and top are lanes full of champions who can punish those types super hard, so while it shouldn't be outright impossible for a carry to go there, it's generally more difficult for them to do so (hence also why Karthus and Veigar struggle hard in the mid lane). Retuning certain marksmen to curve early or mid, rather than late, could help them out a lot, and would likely be a better fit for many: Kindred, for example, is a ganking jungler whose kit naturally makes them more early-oriented, yet they've been forced to curve later and rely heavily on crit items, which has severely harmed them over time. Similarly, Corki is a champion who already tends to curve mid game, so he might as well be fully pushed towards that, instead of being awkwardly pushed towards getting crit later on. This too could inject a lot more diversity into League, as I also believe marksmen as a class should have the full gamut of power curves, instead of having nearly all of its champions be expected to start out weak and eventually outscale everyone else.

I'm actually a little surprised that no one tried some of these combination is bot before. My last game I was Soraka and had Swain as my lane partner. We murdered everything.

A lot of people did try,but thats the power of conformity, even if it works you get flamed,i also played as swain bot when he got reworked and won easy, even played talon bot last season in plat 2 ranked and won,its just that now people have a green light basically to do so
