They should absolve all of us and allow us to keep our points, and make it so that jin has to give up all the LP we would have lost as a team to give to the other team.
AFKing is stupid, and should be punished to the highest degree, and this is one way it should be punished.

... you know, I'd honestly be okay with players who lose only suffering half the penalty if one of their team was extremely toxic, and the toxic player getting all the extra loss. It would stop people being toxic pretty fast.

Irrelevant, in the suggestion above the winning team still gains the LP, it all just comes from one source instead of all.

That stuff is not difficult to detect, and is inexcusable.
People sometimes have to leave due to an emergency, and that's fine. The current penalty is fine for them, though the other players really shouldn't lose LP for it. However, people who intentionally leave games on purpose because they are toxic deserve to take the entire loss of -100 LP for themselves.

Additionally, anyone who has a bad game will be pressured and bullied into doing this on occasion via harassment and other bad behavior.
The more I think about this the worse the abuse cases get.

I don't think it's an unsolveable problem, though. If people pressure others and try to bully them into leaving, then the system just needs to be really harsh on that and apply really strict bans until people learn that they can't do it.

It also automatically blocks the harassing messages from being sent to the other players. If they continue, the system automatically applies a punishment to their account after the game. Timmy gets a partially-forgiven loss, while the harassing players get increased LP penalties.
The technology for all of this exists. It could be done.
