I just played a game Top where I pushed down an enemy nexus turret pre-20 min Solo.

Smashed my enemy laner? Check Smashed 1v2's? Check Survived the goon squad 1v3's and shutdown their fed ADC? Check Took rift? (on my own, fk junglers seriously). Check. Got like, one gank the entire game, after I was already fed at that? Check Solo pushed down tier 1, tier 2, inhibitor turret, inhbiitor, and one of the nexus turrets Solo before 20 mins was even up? Check Still lost? Check.

For reference, it was a Bronze 1 game. The moment it ended, I opened up applications and moved League to the trash where it belonged. I should've done myself a massive favour and quit in season 5 after hitting Diamond for the first time, but I keep telling myself maybe this season gameplay will be better even though it's the complete opposite. Tired of this 5v5, 'muh teamplay', generalised power that reduces meaningful decisions, reduced agency PC bullshit. I just want to play SoloQ. Monte was so right when he called it all those years ago, saying LoL was making a mistake by diminishing the power of the individual and hardcarrying. For anyone curious, here's the interview, which I think is pure gold, and is increasingly relevant with each passing season.; https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=97&v=tIQdRFaS1nA&feature=emb_title

people were saying this for years when faker was getting nerfed though. the only reason i watched any league esports at all was to see faker, or bjerg, or some new fresh faced rookie (perkz, caps, huni) popping the fuck off and smashing in faces, but that's been removed mostly and now it's all about finesse as a collective, which has it's market, but it certainly isn't something that can be called a sport lol, the barriers of separation exist outside the best players and it's more about what the weakest link around them is, instead of them being able to elevate the weakest link. everyone said it would be fun or something having to actually play a team game like a team game but no one banked on people sucking so so bad and having outcomes so closely linked to each other.

Well, 4 people being fed is better than 1 person being fed. What can you do. But I do agree since Runes reforged you simply can't win via splitting.

It's bs, this game has devolved into the best strategy being "Group and whoever gets the kills wins". Defending a tower is just impossible to do.

But that's what most people(globally) want so that's what we get. :/

That's awful. I just got mad reading this [sg-ahri-1] Curious though, like, how did you lose? Was the enemy team focusing you the whole team and your team just fucked around or what?

Still lost? Check.

Gotta say, you had me to that point. I was figuring this would be a post critical of the things in this game that allow for things to happen. You know, the lack of an ability to redeem a losing lane, the inability to shut down champions like Renekton when they're ahead, towers being weak sacks of gold, jungle being balanced toward objectives and ganks rather than strategy, etc. Not a "screw teamwork I glisten like a greased ham" post.
