It's annoying when you think you've got an item but instead it's just a minuscule amount of gold. In fact, not only is it annoying but it's completely unnecessary. It feels like it was implemented just to rub salt in the faces of everyone who was mad about RNG minion rounds.

I don't even give a damn about what others are getting, as far as I'm concerned I can even it out in the long run What's driving me up the wall is the feeling of elation when I get a box drop only for the letdown of coins

With how RNG treated me in the last patch, I'm actually more confused on what to do with all the items left lying around when RNG does favor me. I'm not used to having them at all.
iainB855 votesI've never gotten more than a couple coins, but even if I did get 5 it pales in comparison to getting an actual item in this game still.
The gold coins actually feel bad to me because they generally give you a better early game which gives you last pick on the carousel and snowballs into even worse itemization.
Sidernar2 votesi got 5 gold off the third creeps in the first round. i was so happy to early econ without selling anything and just cash in free gold.
i ended up with no items i didn't get off the carousel.
i got one hit away from death and rolled all that "sweet" early econ and died next round...
some had 12 items and i had 3. gold isn't worth much with no items.

Riot important Tft and might improve it more. But the reaction to the improvement is a negative one, rather than "this is still not good enough", it's : "this is a slap over the face". Why would they improve or care if you guys react so negatively.
Like imagine you play a game. And then when you die, your team flames you. And when you kill someone, they flame you even harder. when you take an objective, even more flame.
You will be less likely to do teamwork with them.

Oh I'm sorry. I didn't realize riot was so thin skinned that we need to treat them like delicate little flowers. I didn't realize that we're not allowed to criticize a gaming company for refusing to listen to the community and making changes that no one asked for. I didn't realize that we're all just spoiled brats who don't have hundreds of other games we could play instead of this one when the developers refuse to listen to us.

Also, you were not promised an item drop every time. You wanted that, fair enough, but what you want is not what you get.
Didn't mommy and daddy teach you that? you don't always get what you want and you are not always right.
That doesn't mean riot is right either. It means that riot is improving, slightly, baby steps. But your reaction to that improvement is not one of gratitude and criticism. But one of screeching to the skies.
As such, is not surprising that riot does not really give a flying fuck about our opinions. As at least the vocal majority in gaming communities these days are just a bunch of barbies that can only scream to the sky if they don't get WHAT THEY WANT AND WHEN THEY WANT IT.
