This is what happens when you do a PBE test with a few thousand players playing a few thousand games a day, then release it live to 67 million players playing a few thousand games a minute. The odds of someone finding a way to break something horribly go up by several thousand percent.

This guy gets it.

This consistently happens with every patch and leads to consistently long disables. Boot enchantment was disabled for over HALF of Black Market's duration. I've seen devs do better with NO public test periods.

And again, Caitlyn was released with a known perma-vision bug to live well after it was found on PBE, then was disabled for about a week.

And now Riot is straight up lying about things like the Draven-GP interaction

This game is constantly being changed. Bugs will always pop up especially after a patch release. Be thankful they are quick to respond to in-game bugs. You must have never played a game where devs will leave a game breaking bugs in for weeks if not months or you would appreciate the devs more.

Quick? Have you not seen how long champions have consistently been disabled lately? On Live servers? AFTER their time on PBE.

Champs are being disabled on Live servers on average from a few days to a week, including full reworks to small changes. Remember Caitlyn and how she was RELEASED TO LIVE with the known perma-vision bug on PBE? PBE has thousands of games being played every day with the newest content, this bug was reported well in advanced!

No I don't appreciate bugs or ignored problems to meet some arbitrary schedule

I don't think you understand what goes into finding and fixing a bug. Sometimes a simple bug fix means re-coding a core mechanic. If you really think it is that easy then I encourage you to apply at RIOT as a developer and show them what you know.

So then you keep her on test servers, increase player count, don't release the patch and say "HERE YOU GO!" then disable every piece of new content for a week

You can't honestly be that stupid. I can guarantee you right now there are 100s if not 1000s of bugs that are live right now that have just gone undiscovered. It is impossible to find and fix every bug before release. No game has ever done it. No software out there has ever done it.

CAITLYN'S PERMA-VISION BUG WAS KNOWN AND DOCUMENTED ON THE PBE BEFORE CAITLYN'S UPDATE ON LIVE AND SUBSEQUENT WEEK-LONG DISABLE

There's a difference between a bug that could slip away unnoticed and somebody not applying PBE changes to live servers.

Okay, ffs people. Coding is not a simple thing in practice. WHen there is an issue, you have to figure out what part of the code is the issue, why is it causing what it does so it doesn't happen in the future, and then fix the code with your knowledge and repeat until it actually works.

Ya, Python is pretty easy, but beyond that, it gets very confusing, very quickly.

Scripting Language is extremely simple and it's human stupidity and error that leads to bugs, the quality of a patch is directly related to the quality of the developer. Kiss my f*cking ass fanboy.

You think I am a fanboy, you amuse me. I am neutral with riot. I neither like them, nor like most of the boards, hate them. I have programed before, and Python was the only one that was completely common sense. Errors in the code, yes are caused by humans, but finding what is causing a problem for why an ability isn't doing what is supposed to, isn't necessarily easy.

And multiple people have said Fiora was fine on the PBE w/o any bugs, and not an Rioters that I am aware of. Just because one thing was known before-hand doesn't mean all are. Trust, I want to play Fiora extremely badly, she was one of my favorite champions last season.

I am interested in playing a game I enjoy, idgaf about who makes the game, if I enjoy it, I will play it. As happenchance because of this a lot of the games I play are owned by Sega and created by the Creative Assembly, and I probably wouldn't notice if either of those companies went out of business. Why is anyone says anything, somewhat supporting Riot, designated a Fanboy? And why is anything that isn't the popular opinion downvoted to hell?

The funniest part is, she was perfectly fine on the PBE.

TraakSC1 votes

Well ya everything is fine until a bug is found...

At least, she is not dead. XD

Coding problems eh. They are not perfect. More the computers will be complicate, more coding problems will happens. And the computers getting more complicate now.

P.S.: Sorry about mistakes, english not my first language.
