After the ult revert, malz feels like in his prime.

I have mained malz for near 3 seasons, and back before the rework he was considered a "wierd pick" which although had high winrates in ranked around 52 percent all season, also had glaring weaknesses to exploit. (although not much known because of the extremelly low pickrate.)

Now after that minor revert to his minions and ult, he is basically "pre-rework malz with a barrier" actually BETTER because his Q's have lower cooldown. And now has 54 percent winrate consistantly for a few patches undetered by any form of meta.

Here is a few problems current malz brings to the game that I would want to give as a long time malz main.

  1. The barrier The best defense is the best offense. Getting any sort of mobility or rushing boots means the enemy cant retaliate or stop malz.

  2. Absurd synergy with minions plus crystal sceptre against melee Although this combination has been here for a long time. This is the most strongest factor malz has since he can spawn multiple minions. I looked back at the replays that I won, and I noticed that melees were not able to run in or out once they face that pool of void vermin. Also spammable silence makes it only worse for counterplay issues ...and that is not even factoring his ult.

As a solution I say remove the barrier and add a passive that rewards staying long in the fight as a dot mage. Also reduce the number of minions and make him spawn a relatively tanky one that was controllable like pre rework to prevent multiple enemies clogged in that sea of minions.

I'm not sure how Malz feels like he's "in his prime" when Malz's prime was AD Malz jungle with banner of command and zz'rot as situational fifth items.

That got nerfed in a few weeks and was only a trivial matter for riot to deal.

This situation is up for months.

Also this is a literal sin we malz mains did not think much demanding ratios back on our ult. Of course he will be more stronger and reliable.
