An Address to all Dynamic Queue Threads.

So, I notice people seem to blame a lot of their lack of fun with League on the fact that they are getting matched with Premades constantly. Has anything really changed though? We used to get matched with premades all the time before this became a problem. You just didn't know for certain because there were no clan tags to clue you in.

In my honest opinion, clan tags are what are causing this massive uproar against premades, and also in my honest opinion, they should just be hidden from people who are matched with the premade.

That, or they should just be visible to whoever is in the club, because it seriously feels like this one tiny change to how being social in league works has generated more hate and salt than was probably intended

It's the new elo hell excuse

If soloQ was ever released, everyone would be back to complaining about "ELO Hell" within a few days.

no we knew, aka "recently grouped with" and subsequent win rate together 2/10, thanks broskis! you two clearly make great decisions together!

we've always had the tools to tell with or without clan tags. (with third party websites) the real issue here is why do you feel the need to play ranked with your friends over doing it in normals?

Clan tags have nothing to do with it. Duo Q is a completely different game from a game that includes a premade of 3-5 man. Duo Q at the competitive level can make influence but not overwhelming difference where it'll 100% secure the game for you. It'll just make impact. 3-5 man however, you do when you are confident you can win most your games.

Back in Seasons 1-5 when we had Solo/Duo Q, did anyone watch pros stream while duo q-ing? And then watch Season 1-5 Worlds. They are... COMPLETELY. DIFFERENT. GAMES. Hell even the champs that were "meta" sometimes depended on whether you were playing Solo/duo vs 5v5. I like that you're giving people benefit of the doubt and saying "maybe it's not just that." Shows you're trying to think outside the box. But no one cares if enemy team has all the same tags or not. It's about what's fair. A 5 man premade could suck and have the same tag. Wouldn't change anything. The point is this system has been easily abused for those who wish to abuse it and if Riot refuses to listen to the players' complaints on the matter at least, then they are basically admitting to the public they don't care whether people abuse it or not. Half my friends list have players who couldn't rank out of bronze 3-5 but all of a sudden they make it to diamond or plat in like 5 days right playing 100% games with 4 other people. That's not sketchy at all.

I think people were fine with duo's, just not trios and quads.

I like dynamic queue. I would be fine with disabling four man groups if it made the majority happy but I would rather just keep dynamic queue as is.

I do like the idea of hiding peoples club tags unless you are in the club.

OP you are completely off here.

DQ is specific to ranked only, where premades at worst were a single duo pair, far more manageable (as they are a minority of the group) than the common 3/4 mans we get now, or two sets of two even.

This is with respect to ranked only. DQ is only for ranked. DQ's normal counterpart would be normal/draft mode, which has had a reputation for being God Awful since pretty much it's inception for this very reason.
