Does EKko R cancel/reset turret shots?

I don't have a video, but yesterday in one of my games I was playing Ekko jungle. I dove under a tier two tower, thinking I'd be okay because I could just use R. So I killed the enemy and pressed R. The animation went through, but if my eyes didn't lie to me, I saw the tower shot still follow me through my ultimate animation and proceed to kill me. It even had the increased damage that occurs when you take multiple tower shots in a row from the same tower. I just don't remember this ever happening to me in the past, and honestly I could totally have just been missing it or just not going balls deep under a tower for kills very often (I've been trying to play more aggressively recently). I always thought the tower shot was canceled similar to when Master Yi uses Q to avoid a tower shot. Is this supposed to be in the game or is this a bug?

yes and no. it will reset all or most aggro. if a turret shot was already en route then it will still hit if it is still travelling after the invincibility frames. so if he's ulting far away from the turret then the shot will have more travel time to get to him and so it will most likely hit him. if he's ulting directly under your turret then that shot will likely not hit due it the impact occurring during the invincibility frames. as i stated, it resets all aggro, so that is minions, pets, turrets, jungle camps, neutral objectives and i think viktors R though that one is likely covered by pets. it does however not reset aggro on heimer turrets, you can only kill those or get out of range bloodthirsty shitter turrets.

if a turret is charged up (4+ shots or whatever it is) then it resets back to zero when ekko ults even if an ally grabs the aggro afterwards, because the turret resets completely. might be bug or working as intended, who knows.
