So what do we think of kayle

I want to know what y’all think of kayle. Personally I think her early game is way to weak and she can get stomped on too easily but at the same time her late game is way to strong and gives the enemy almost no chance to win. Now with games being shorter it not likely that kayle gets to late game but there is still a chance and I think her late game power needs to be shifted to at least give the enemy team a chance to do something to her late game.

Take Jax for example, he is a late game monster but if your coordinate with you team you can cc him and kill him. With kayle not only is it harder to cc her cause she will be ranged and in the back line but even if you do she will ult and become invulnerable while still doing massive damage.

If riot could just shift some of her late game power to her early game she would be a great champion.

So I think kayle might actually need her true damage removed and replaced with something else

The rework took an already unbalancable kit and made it more broken than a McDonalds ice cream machine. I don't want a Kayle on either team because she's just a horrendous design.

Even the art team dropped the ball (which is extremely rare) because the new Kayle also looks horrible, especially the splash art. Looks like it was done in Microsoft Paint in an afternoon.

Kayle was my first main. I appreciate that Riot is trying to go back to some of their root design philosophies where a Champion has their own unique win condition but in a game where they've already nearly homogenized every Champion to be similar in power curve, Kayle stands out like a sore thumb.
Again I appreciate the sentiment and actually find her very fun because you have to engage every aspect of your game knowledge to try and get to level 11/16 without feeding but I can see why a lot of people don't like having to wait that long before their power fantasy kicks in, or having their power tied so heavily to an arbitrary number.

After playing her for about 20 or 30 games this week, I can say I don't mind it if they don't change her much. I miss old Kayle, but I said my goodbyes already.

Well... people know what i think, i don't need to remind mods that i exist.

Besides, games last much longer than previously, especially when considering early-middle S8, so late game carries actually have a good chance of getting there.

Not reworks though.

I’m liking her so far. It’s tough to learn because I’m not good with squishy range champs but she makes me actually farm. She does need something more like lower cd on her e so she can farm more. Maybe increase its mana cost later on but make it lower so she can farm semi safely.

I like that they added more counter play to her R with her not being able to attack with it. I also do agree that her late game is too strong and her early game is too weak. I think they should remove the true dmg from level 16 (she already gets permanently exalted) and add more early game survivablity. She just came out though so maybe we just don't know how to play her early game yet.

Also I think her early mana costs are way too high

Now, I only have nine games on the champion so far so take what I say with a grain of salt. Like everyone else will say, her early game is pretty bad. So easy to get poked out of lane and just unable to farm. If I am going against someone with any mobility and/or kill potential, I am pretty much just going to be sitting under tower for 20 or so minutes. However, I think that this is a good thing and only needs one very small change. Personally, I would like if she either had more tools to cs with (e gets multiple uses per cast or has a lower mana cost or cd). And if Riot really wanted to see how it would work, maybe Kayle could hit ranged aa at level 9. I feel like it takes way to long to get ranged on Kayle and by the time that you do, the game is won or lost for the most part. I have only hit level 16 with her twice so far and I don't think that the level 11 spike is big enough to take such a big chunk of the game away from her. I think that Riot August did a great job at designing the character. She has loads of counterplay and very clear spikes. I wish that some of the other designers did the same. Overall, if Riot does decide to buff her, I think that she needs very small changes nothing to crazy.

No real early 1-10 powerspike unlike other champions. 4v5 until level 11. Would transfer late game power to her early to make her a champion worth picking. Theres no real reason to pick her over literally any other champion. Games barely even go past 25 minutes. Not a solid meta for kayle.

I disagree. The few times I've seen her reach late game, the match was already long decided. It was just everyone going through the motions of the losing team pretending they can make some kind of miracle come back.

If Riot's going to buff her I'd rather them give her QoL changes over full on number buffs.

One would be making her E scale better with AS. It's extremely clunky to use once you have a high amount of AS.

At first I hated how she played. But after I got stomped by a hail of blades bork rush kayle. I took their strat and have been finding a lot more success in the early game. She feels a lot better with that build and I can actually enjoy her.
