Difference between say Plat 4/5 jungler & mid gold jungler

This a dumb question... really it's just how do I get better at jungling? There are many videos out there and the ones I have seen in the past usually done by like diamond 1/master players. Very insightful and go into great detail but overwhelm my low elo brain lol. I have found getting around mid gold as jungle to be pretty easy the last couple of seasons. But once I start facing even like plat 5 junglers I start struggling a lot more. I feel slow... my ganks are just so predictable, pathing predictable, I always seem to fall behind in cs. I never really thought about it until the recent talks of runes and changes but I have always only had basic rune pages setup. I wonder how much my basic ap or ad rune pages actually affect my clears.

It would be great to have challenger level jungle knowledge but reality is I am not looking to get there... hell not even trying to hit diamond currently. Just be nice to get past gold first but not sure what areas I need to improve on. I mean... obviously all if I want to be a great player but is there a certain area of my game I should work on to try and move from gold to plat as a jungler?
