And I don't think it's healthy to teach new players that how to be good at the game is to basically just get too much tank/damage/shield and then go into a match with nothing that teaches them about mechanics, trading, or anything else
new players using these champions aren't really learning much.
there are better champs that have low skill floors with higher skill ceiling in each position
Top lane:
Teaches a lot about kiting, and timing. Good for learning positioning, high skill cap, teaches skills that also are applicable to adcs
teaches sustain, how to go hamm, teaches how to be beef
Has a very low skill floor, will help to learn mechanics like auto canceling and whatnot, segway into jungle, can be outplayed when fed.
Mid Lane:
skill shots! very important, all have the same basic concept of CC and murder, which is something to learn to play with, and against
low skill floor, great champion, obviously a high cap (a otp reached rank 1), learn how to fight with squishy champs, and assassinate
Honestly fucking amazing to learn, can be outplayed, needs to outplay, learn how to dive, assassinate, and escape
Support:
Massively low skill floor, easy to pick up, can carry, gives understanding of support, high skill ceiling
Honestly the best designed support tank in the game, easy to learn, semi-difficult to master for a newbie. Teaches a lot about resource management, cooldown management, awareness, and auto weaving.
(Any of the poke mages above): See the same as the mid lane reasoning
The champs listed above offer a lot for little to no skill. and they never get so out of hand that you ragequit. A good lux is an issue, but a new lux isn't. Meanwhile a new yi can 1shot, a new garen wont take damage.... and then can kinda 1shot depending on how he builds
that's the issue I have, the kits are fundamentally too simplistic, they don't really teach anything.
