You don't have to CS (so much more chill) You get to spend the laning phase being a lane bully (you know, the fun part) You rarely feel like you have to 'carry' (even though a few supports can) You have a huge champ pool to pick from (almost like everybody) You have the most time to take in the whole map, so it's one of the best positions to shot call (assuming any one will listen) You have all your skills, plus like 3-5 active items (wards on 1, redemption on 2, locket on 3, conduits...etc) In a real team fight, most of the time a support can make or break it (like it or not people, your support keeps you alive)

I get it, most people want to be the superstar 20/0/0 Vayne

With out a good support, good luck going 20/0

Support is fun, but we never get acknowledged for how much we actually do in a game. It's always the 20/0/0 Vayne that gets the praise even though the support is 1/0/24 or something. We never get noticed, and it makes me sad every time i play support and do really well.

I love being the engage supports. It’s so satisfying landing that hook or stun and you just start a panic use all summoners dominio effect. Or when you are thresh and you throw your lantern behind and they back off when really no one was on their way to gank in the first place.

Braum he can block targeted abilites something i wish almost all tanks could do,also hes sexy Soraka its funny to see my enemy try so hard to kill my adc only for them to be immortal with me Rakan i just love dashing around plus hes gorgeous (for a bird man) Sona i just love spamming the shit outa my spells and later in game i can have a constant speed buff for myself Nami same reason (accept she cant have constantly speed boost) as sona but more healing and more CC

I think Support is a lot of fun. I play Zilean a lot, and chucking out AoE stun after AoE stun has a major impact on the game, not to mention your life-saving Ult. Dealing damage is boring...controlling the battle is fun! :) [sg-soraka] The lane phase may be boring though, :p At least for the first 4 levels, unless you have a good synergy with your ADC or you get a gank, you basically just run around in circles posturing but not doing much. Overall though, go supports!!!

Its just not my playing style, I like to engage and do damage, thats why I play full ap lux supp and Im s o r r y . But it can be fun ngl. even if I dont do dmg.

Yeah support is definitely a great role. You may not always get to carry, but at the same time you help others to carry and you can make sick saving plays that lead to the whole game turning around in your favor. It's not a role for everyone, but it should be more respected

oh, today was playing as Soraka vs smurfing brand/cait... with adc Draven. engaging since the very beginning of the game (river bush), following jungler, through jg - behind the turret, all in all good thing i level w first.. xd

guess what happened once he got 3-4 kills! he really went quite far, however... like any self-respecting Draven.

he got a few solo kills later on.. much expected in deed..

(and then screwed it almost to loss several times)..

A pity i was helping the top and mid laners get properly fed. xdd then, a few properly chained ccs did the trick! Poor draven, though.. he did deserve the flame by the whole team..

I don't like playing support for multiple reasons. Firstly, I avoid playing bot lane most of the time because I highly doubt my teammate will be good. Since I'm such a low rank I dont trust my teammates to be good ad carries. I also just rather be the one getting all the kills, not supporting. Why play support when I can play Jayce and get 20 kills carrying the game. If I were to be autofilled as support I usually pick Zyra though.

it's kind of hard to describe what makes support fun, but I think you got close with:

"you rarely feel like you have to carry"

and the huge champ pool. Even talon can run support XD "Death is the best CC!"

I really used to like supporting, but it's also super dependent on your lane buddy being on the same page as you. Countless Draven's that don't want to bully the shit out of vayne and would rather farm, or vayne's that try to engage on said Draven's just ruin it, or when you land a fat cc on the adc after your adc followed you but they're suddenly facing the other direction farming again. When it goes well it goes really well, but all too often I'm sitting there wondering "if I do x right now, are they gonna follow up or what"

I Don't believe that is the issue. I love support. However, the problem I have this:

You have a good lane going on. You and the adc are 1/0/1. Great match up going on bot. Mid game comes and you get deleted instantly by they 4 kill top mid or jungle. You can't stop them from rick rolling over your adc no matter the CC you use. Or you save the adc but you are easy bait the whole rest of the game. You can't get close you anyone or anything because you instantly die to everyone event the support because you are soo under leveled and gold starved.

Or you are losing just the little bit bot lane. They rest of the game you are running for your life because you are under leveled and gold starved.

You win bot lane bad.... however top/mid/jungle has 6 kills and stomps the whole team out.

I only feel like you have any presence if you get your adc 20 kills.... and event then they can still be instant zerged if they miss step.

Its hard to play under leveled and behind. I'm not saying assassins and bruiser are op. But right now they can delete adc/support soo quickly it doesn't allow room for active league of legends game play. However, the other rolls can make a difference in the game due to the gold and levels they have.

ADC can only carry if the TEAM plays peels for them (unless a HUGE kill advantage)..... that never happens in solo que.

The big, humble support guy (Bard) that does not talk so much bullshit (like Rakan or Lux) does rarely get honors though. Can get me sometimes a bit sad, but a "S-" while the "big carries" got nothing can be nice too.

I play support mainly I mean I do play mid and dabble in toplane but support is just fun, I call it the ‘be a dick’ role. You spend the lane harassing and annoying the enemy’s suport and adc, keep wards around so you can make picks, have fun roaming if you can manage. It’s just honestly a fun chill role as long as your adc is decent to follow up on you. Is it always the most interactive and exciting role? No, is it sometimes easy to be tilted by a bad adc? Yes. But it’s usually pretty good and fun just to do and if you’re good the bot side of the map and anyone in it becomes your bitch

Support is the role I can most consistently have fun with. Even though it's quite hard to climb the ladder playing support, I'm still going to stick with the role for as long as I can. #SupportSince2015

High Elo leona ll press a single E once every 5 minutes in high elo + she ll share relic + walk alot IS THAT FUN? For most people no, most people want to actually "play the game" not lowkey specate it, every other role has to do something every second.

Supports have the lowest game impact if 5 roles together have 100 imapct

Then this is by my estimate a following role impact

MID - 23 JNG 23 TOP 21 ADC 20 SUPPORT - 13
