Ok, so why then would a player like myself who can not compete with a player like you who can take 3 actions to my 1 with higher accuracy want to then go and attempt to take an additional 2 actions when I'm already behind you in hand speed, you should be able to make 9 actions to my 3. How does that help me or people like me win games?
Accuracy with indicators is the same as regular cast but its dual usages results in a speed that to some one with my typeing speed is as rapid if I where to be playing with smart cast. Currently I get the best of both worlds in aiming assistance to imput to action that I mechanically am familiarly with use. All of it comes from using a menu option available to all players from a level 1 account.
The only argument I can see is accuracy but that's solved by using range indicators and it also requires less hand speed as its only 2 steps, a long key press and a mouse movement to aim, release to fire, your movement commands don't interfere with your cast so at not point do you need to make additional movements to reactivate your range indicators. So you get more spell shot indicators and mobility with more uptime, all of which should help accuracy. (channeled abilitys like vis Q and xeraths do behave differently but its not hard to adapt to.)
Basic quick cast allows you to make it into steps , aim mouse into area, push button. Boom spell launched. For accuracy enable range indicators and your able to just press a key then aim and fire it on release. You can start aiming faster and also control your champions movement during this time a lot smoother because your range indicator will never get turned off by movement commands. Look at how it functions, its a only a benefit to learn to play using it and the only disadvantage is the investment of time to relarn your champion pool to make it second nature.
Note that you have been a gamer from ages 3, you got trained for dexterity for instruments. From your comments about pushing keys really quickly as well as typing really fast its fair to assume you don't consider yourself to have slower hands. So then this post then does not really apply to you and that's fine but I want to you pretend your a player who chronically finds them self wishing they cast a clutch ability or combed faster. If you just had a fraction of a second more time you would have had the play. the more often you feel this way the more games it happens in, then the higher you should place importance into higher efficiency and the more benefit you will get from reducing your required hand motions.
I'm still trying to avoid specifically talking about eve, I don't want to go off on a wall of pros and cons. I really want this thread to be exclusively about casting set up. If your mains above me, your in the upper top 10% of players why do you think advice that helps folks improve something you clearly don't need help with loses its value, especially when there's players who will benefit from it. Alternatively if I'm above you what do you feel I am doing well that would give me the advantage despite being behind you in handspeed which directly affects my ability in gameplay negative.
And here my friend is the best part, literally any one who reads this can easily test it for them self. Pick a champion that uses a lot of skillshots, go into training mode, screw around for some time and test all 3 modes. Any one can do this to see for them self if they will benefit or not. You can disagree that I have a slow handspeed, fine, but I'm here telling you that I am able to get more actions executed in game by swapping to quick cast then I could by using the stock option, that's not an hypothesis or a theory its from my literal experience with myself playing this game.
