@Riot , Please reconsider the Azir nerfs.

Azir doesn't deserve these nerfs. He had a 90%+ banrate at MSI for a reason. It's because he synergizes well with a full team of 5, especially when the person playing him knows what they are doing. Azir is one of, if not the most difficult champion to play/master. He has utility but a lot of counter play. This is why I ask you not to go through with these changes. They will not only nerf him with pre-mades, but destroy him for those who play solo. I know there is a certain Rioter who is the main person with the Azir changes but I forget his name. It would be great if he could see this and at least give some reason for the changes.

Edit: Here is Redmercy, someone in the League community who does a lot of in depth analysis on champion balance, talking about the Azir nerfs: https://youtu.be/bLNbi3DGSx4?t=248

He's pretty broken and pushing way too many mages out of the mid lane atm, needs some significant nerfs. These seem fine. He's doing too much too well atm, this narrows him in more on his niche

Ideally, champions should be balanced around their power at the highest tier of play. Azir in competitive is simply too good. The nerf on the wall duration means that teams will have to actually zone and peel for him instead of just throwing up a 7 second wall and going to town.

Why should champions be balanced around 5% of the community?

Because a balanced game will be balanced around the highest tier of play....Jesus this used to be common knowledge before the casual infestation

Yes, balance a game around the minority of people in master and challenger instead of the majority in bronze through plat.

Tell me how is he balance and have counterplay when he can poke me down from across the lane getting free trades.

I'm saying they're nerfing the wrong thing with him. Azir works amazingly well when he is on a pre-made and when the person playing him knows what they are doing. The currents nerfs are going to make him harder for new players to play and for solo players to play.

Honestly I wouldn't have a problem with the wall staying for longer if it wouldn't bump me every time I get close to it. I don't mind the initial movement displacement but after that it should behave as a normal wall. As it stands Azir could stay inside of his wall for the full 7 sec (while the soldiers are going ham on you) and if you were to be melee you had no way to touch him

Yes, you could attack him even if he stood in his wall. A skilled Azir player however would be able to use the duration to their advantage and keep moving back and forth through the wall while still attacking the enemy melee.

I'm fine with removing the movement speed on the ult (hardly noticeble) What I'm not fine with is the fact that they completely remove the tower dmg on W, but they reduce the damage it does (at least early game) I'm not fine with them reducing drastically the duration of Azir's wall. At least make it scale 3/4/5 instead of a flat 3 seconds.

I think they need to address his ridiculous powerspike when he gets item 3115.

Bolwinkel1 votes

It's his core item. 50% attack speed, 20% cdr, and 80 ap. They're nerfing stinger so it will take a little longer for him to get the full 50% on nashor's itselft instead of just getting the 50% from stinger. A lot of champions have that one item though. However, Azir can win his lane and carry his team to victory, or lose horribly and it will just be a 4v5 almost.
