Taliyah Gameplay on Worked Ground (Q with Low Mana)

When Taliyah has 35 mana, she is unable to cast Q on worked ground.

This is due to it being refunded after the cast however, I wonder if this is working as intended. It creates a lot of "feels bad" moments where you are running through worked ground, unable to cast spells for this reason.

Why is the cost of the ability not halved on worked ground? Instead the refund system allows for no advantageous value outside of laning phase of utilizing worked ground.

Thank you for the response.

Sincerely, a taliyah main.

I'm a lvl 6 taliyah. I wouldn't complain about it. When I play taliyah I rush Rod of ages for the mana growth. That definitely helps. It would be kind of broken to have her Q be half mana with one rock on worked ground since it is in such a low cooldown as it's leveled. It's all about balance. Sure it leads to some feel bad moments, but I'd rather that be the issue than a giant nerf.

Taliyah is, at the moment, the single worst control mage in league of legends.

This would not break her at all, instead it would provide usability to an otherwise weak champion.

She is not weak AT ALL. I feel her winrate suffers, not because of her damage, but because of misplaced/mistimed ultimates.
