Karma Passive/Ult Discussion. Red Response Requested

Currently Karma has a passive that can easily be frontloaded onto her R ability to give her kit more options. The auto attack/spell damage is centric to her R anyway, so imo it would make a lot more sense to combine the two and free up a passive, so that you can make a small change to her without removing her awesome 3 skill 1 mantra style of play.

An example of a passive could be:

**INSTANT KARMA: ** 5%/7.5%/10% of damage dealt to karma by champions is stored for the next 4 seconds. this amount can be discharged by auto attacking. After 4 seconds, this value is added to karmas mana pool.

Something like this would help solidify 'good karmas' from 'bad karmas' -- This is just an example however. My primary suggestion is that her R and Passive be combined.

Thank you for reading.

I think she should get more AP the less health she has. Really fits her balance theme. Kappa.

Instant karma :D

She does seem to be in a balanced state but still people don't play her. Giving her an "actual" passive might make her more popular while also solving some of her problems. Although there are other ways to make her popular.

I like your suggestion because of the mana regen. I don't think a masochist passive would be her thing though.

I'd suggest that her passive stayed as it is and her mantra got an addition "if an activated mantra is not used, Karma will regenerate x mana when mantra expires".

To be honest, if they had left the damage on her R+E she would be fine. I would be all for moving her passive if it meant she could have something a little more defining in her kit. I would even support giving her mantra slightly higher CD for a little more power in those moments, maybe in the form of giving her ult stacks or just making her mini ults more ult-like.

I think there should be an emphasis on combining her spells together; since chaining her spells is integral to her kit.

W+Q hitting the enemy with Q immediately triggers the root, and deals bonus damage. If the tethered enemy is hit with a Mantra Q, they are stunned.

W+E if a tethered enemy attempts to hit a shielded ally, they lose movement/attack speed . If it's a RE, it redirects a portion of the damage to the enemy.

Q+E if a shielded ally is in the damage radius of the Q, they gain a buff that allows their basic attacks to trigger Karma's passive. If its a RQ+E, the secondary explosion refreshes the shield value on the ally.

Personally Im against multiple passives but due to so many champs having it then WHY not give ti to Karma. She's my top played champ and mostly mid.

My personal suggestion is a semi rework of her old passive (low health more damage). I'd personally like the less health you have the more:

  • Your shield provides and E heals for. (Im avoiding more damage on Q because honestly, Mantra Q hurts like a bitch (like karma))

  • You gain more magic pen. (could bring some ap/tank builds out)

  • Or they give her some sort of passive I can't think of at the moment that helps jungle Karma out.

I feel like tank bruiser Karma would then be a thing.

No thanks. Although her passive is really meh, she's had one overhaul and a mini rework, that's enough for me. (This is coming from a 500+ game Karma main) Also, we all know Riot would fuck it up and she'd become 100% pick/ban and then get nerfed into oblivion.

I'm asking for a little more complexity to her choice making. Hopefully this could be addressed from her passive being slightly tweeked to create more interesting scenarios and choices.

My suggested passive is just something i drew up in a few minutes, but I don't see any reason to not combine the passive her R into one ability and create more depth to the champion.

Right now good karma's can dominate a game, but the kit could use a little something to fix how linear it can be. A skill heavy passive would go a long way to making this champion as good of a pick as other champions who do her job just a bit better.

good lord please never say that

how about this:

the lower health karma has, the more damage she does, maybe even more AP

would fit pretty well with her theme, yeah???

I was thinking of this idea ( with Passive and Ultimate skills being merged ):

**Passive] Conversion **Every time Karma takes damage, 10% of that damage is converted into AP. Has a maximum of # stacks and cannot exceed # AP ( becomes higher as you level up ). If in an "Inspired" state ( provided by her E ), 20% of the damage is converted instead. Lasts for # seconds and is refreshed by every attack.

_Since she is connected to the Yin and yang philosophy, this would suit her perfectly; aka "opposite or contrary forces are actually complementary" --> "taking damage would actually benefit her". It still has some connection with her old passive, but in another way. _

or maybe this;

W] Allies in an "Inspired" state can be targeted by this spell, gradually increasing both yours and your target's movement speed over the duration, followed by a burst of speed at the end of the channeling process. W+R] Increases the speed buff and heals the target for a % of their missing health at the end of the channeling process ( therefore, heals only once ).

I think she needs a hard CC and dmg amplifier to her kit. I still think her mantra-ed shield should knock back enemies slightly (like Riven's Q). As for the passive, I think something along the lines of having her damage increased when the target is slowed or when she's hasted would be fine with me. That should give her kit synergy and a reliable way of dealing damage.

I'd say to give her back her old passive, but... uhhh.... I think the whole 2k shield thing might need to stay dead. Plus the mantra Q at low health would probably one shot things a bit too much.

your example is kinda cool and could be slightly changed to work in jungle.

I'd say give her old passive, but slighlt more... shiny :)
