@Riot, regarding movement speed, slows and dashes

So, one suggestion that has been tossed around from time to time is to have the speed or the distance of a dash to be affected by a champion's movement speed, and we've seen you implement that on a couple of champions. Kalista's hop moves further with her boots upgrade, and Yasuo's E dash travels faster when he has more MS.

I'm curious, is this something that's going to remain on a few specific champions, or is this a test to see how well such a mechanic would work?

...anybody else want to discuss it as well? I know I said I want a Riot response, but the point of a forum thread is discussion anyway.

I think that's one of the things that would require a complete overhaul of the system to work. A lot of older champions rely on 1-2 quick, long range dashes to function (Irelia loses any fear when she has to waddle up to you, Renekton becomes a 100% worse Nasus, etc.), which if affected by movement speed would become very frustrating on both sides (Irelia activating Righteous Glory and zooming into you, or Irelia being hit by any Rylai's spell and suddenly becoming a Vi ult speed).

I think the best way of handling this is in the other direction. Instead of having champions who get longer dashes with more movement speed:

  1. Make champions with skill-shot dashes not dash as far when they are slowed
  2. Make champions with targeted dashes travel slower when they are slowed

Since every champion in the game can get a slow (Rylais Crystal Sceptre, Frozen Mallet, Frost Queen's Claim, Randuin's Omen, Dead Man's Plate, Red Buff), it would add a lot of counterplay to all the "mobility creep" champions.
