Every time someone complains about a manaless champion
"Give them Mana, or at least Energy!" Except for when Lee Sin and Zed were more popular, in which case, even Energy champs "deserved" Mana instead.
But, listen people. Giving a champion mana will not fix the problems you currently have with them. Slapping a blue meter for resource management will not succeed in fixing any of the problems you actually have with that champion, nor will it fix their actual problems. All it's going to do is:
- Open up itemization options that they'd left alone previously
- Require that the mana costs be balanced to suit their playstyle OR
- Require buffs to their playstyle to make up for not being able to function as designed
- Still leaves you frustrated once all the mains play one game to get used to those costs OR
- Dumpsters the champ because the costs are legitimately unfair
Adding a blue meter to a spammy caster means tweaks and mostly buffs in other areas if the champion is going to remain viable. Unless your goal is that last point, in which case, might I introduce you to an entirely different MOBA, where your personal skill doesn't matter at all? I hear Blizzard likes babying you along with super simple mechanics, you might find a nice home there.
