What about making Aftershock work like Conqueror or Grasp ?

Making it stack through time or through attacks, then have its effect applied ?

So that the Pyke, the Thresh or the Lissandra can't instantly become unkillable, while also adding a rune that would actually fit the gameplay of a tank (ie TANKING) ?

Many champs have no better option than using this ruse, therefore being balanced around it (hi Lissandra ), while the rune completly changes the way they were originally played.

Of course rune's numbers would have to be changed, but please for the love of Nagakabouros or whatever, change aftershock (and bring back tanks smh)

Aftershock was a terrible reimagining of courage of the colossus that solved no problems and added damage tbh

Or just revert it back to collossus

because waiting for your tank steroid is generally the opposite of what a tank wants to do

They could probably lower the resistances for ranged champions. That would be a great start. Fleet Footwork gives less healing to ranged champions because they're inherently safer than melee. Why shouldn't Aftershock give less resistances?

Then lower the damage and make it so that targets hit are slowed while moving away from the user. That way, it isn't peel for mages, but it makes it easier for a tank to stick to their targets.

There. Fixed. It's a rune designed for close-range, tanky champions that want to keep enemies in close range, not a moment of nigh-invulnerability for a burst mage.

Or make it just scale again and not give flat resistances

I like the idea of 2-3 CC but that would still let Lissandra use it, unless it's hard CC only which means she could use it if it's 2 charges and champs like Braum Chogath Darius DrMundo Garen Malphite Nasus Singed can't really use it

OR just remove keystones

Or just make it so that Ranged champs get half the stats/damage or half the duration. Similar to Grasp & Conq

That wouold fully defeat the purpose of the rune and hardly gice tanks a reason to pick it over grasp. You go for aftershock because you want imidate defense vs burst when you engage, and that's all you want from it. Either fix tanks and just remove it or replace it with courage of the colossus so it's less good for safety in lane but still offers the protection you want as a tank in teamfights.

because tanks would just blown up the second they engage...

Imo it should only work with stuns/displacements. This way mages like lux/lissandra can't use it, which allows them to be buffed accordingly and opens them up to the rest of the runes.

Could be pretty cool if lissandra got buffs similar to aftershocks effects. Maybe like, gain 20 Armor/MR per champion rooted for 3 seconds as part of her W skill.

So like this:

Gain 15 - 30 (+ 25% bonus armor) bonus armor and 15 - 30 (+ 25% bonus magic resistance) bonus magic resistance for 5 seconds for every champion you immobilize. This can stack up to 3 times, any crowd control will refresh the duration, and when the duration ends each stack will provide 4 - 12 (+ 2% bonus health) true damage in a shockwave to nearby enemy champions.

Totals: 45 - 90 (+ 75% bonus armor) | 45 - 90 (+ 75% bonus magic resistance) | 12 - 36 (+ 6% bonus health)
