"We want people to pick blue Kayn over red Rhaast"
Doesn't mean you have to overbuff++ blue Kayn. Just start nerfing Rhaast, this could ALSO be a thing.

That's not at all what they said.

Blue Kayn and Rhaast are both fine, but it's absolutely overshadowed by Rhaast being better simply by his utility alone. Nerfing Rhaast isn't going to solve the fact that Rhaast is just the absolute safer pick by design of him having Hard CC (which is great for picks, peeling, and well, everything) and a safer build path. Even against full squishy comps, I've gone Rhaast because there's just so much more power in Rhaast's ability to help a team. SA Kayn is a really risky pick, one you only go if you actively have a lead to spiral off of, it deserves something more to let it compete with Rhaast when you're already not ahead.
Nerfing Rhaast doesn't solve the fact that Rhaast is just a better champion than SA Kayn in more situations.
Nerf both and buff base Kayn
Kayn isn't that overpowered, and neither of his forms are. People prefer Rhaast over Assassin because Rhaast provides much more to the team than Assassin ever will. Even if you nerfed Rhaast people would still pick him over Assassin.
But blue Kkayn isnt bad, hes just garbage IN COMPARSION with red Kayn
♪ It's hard to hear you when i'm running through all of these walls ♪
I think both Kayn forms are too strong at the moment when ahead. Blue is completely useless when behind but that's a given for most assassins.
Honestly I feel they should target his W. The combination of a dash that can cross some walls, a wall phase and a ranged knockup make him WAY to safe. His healing and ult untargebility is fine by me, but it is how ridiciously easy he can escape a loosing fight.
His W is the most frustrating part of Rhaast. Maybe lower the knock up effect's duration considerably to only 0,5 seconds or so. It feels soo long ingame. Maybe give it a sweet spot like Aatrox which you have to hit to get the knock up. His current W isn't exactly hard to hit either given it affects everything in it's AoE. Just aim in their direction and it lands. Not like Vel'Koz for example where you have to actually take into account them moving toward or away from you. That thing is hard to hit.
You seem to have missed out on part of your title. "We want people to pick Kayn."
Just nerfing one of his forms while he's not performing all that well isn't going to make people pick blue more often. It'd just make people pick someone else more often.
Blue kayn fucking sucks and red kayn is broken because u can kill him 6 times before he gets rhaast and a black cleaver then after that hes overtuned and picks up easy kills.
The problem is red kayn is more consistent and generally you decide before the game if you are going red or blue in order to have corresponding runes and item choices.
Riot: Buuh buuh but our 50% winrate goal
Ngl, I actually prefer Shadow Assassin for Kayn. Though I usually play to what better fits the team.
"Wait what? Wth are you even talking about? Why would we ever NERF a dmg champ, much less an assassin?
Especially when we can just buff red kayn again to match blue kayns overbuffedness.. and if that ends up being too much, we'll go up blue kayn again just a bit. it'll even out eventually"

SA isn't really a risky pick against immobile champions; even if you're behind, you only need to reach a certain point in the game until your damage becomes so high that it one shots carries from the terrain.
This change is probably a little too much mobility.
Both have very clear situations where they are better. It's just that people tend to stick to one form more than the other, even though they should have picked the opposite one.
They are indirectly giving red kayn a buff by buffing tank jgler item. Without any buff, blue kayn would be b tier while red is s
