Elise

I will be honest here, I think the Elise buffs are nice and all.. but damn she is hard to play. I played her a bit around patch 5.5~10 and got alright on her, but now with the buffs, I forgot how hard she was to play. I think the boost in damage is justified by the amount of skill it takes to play her. She's insanely unforgiving, rather than champs like Lee Sin who have a lot of engage and disengage. I think she should stay where she is.

She's finally in a good spot. The nightmare is over... Until they nerf her back into oblivion, which I seriously hope doesn't happen.

Elise Our Queen is back !

Every role needs a top dog. As long as it's Elise and not Kha'Sux, Renderp and Nidanerf, the jungle is an OK place.

I thought I was the only one that absolutely hated Rengar and still question why he's not pick or ban in the LCS. A tanky-bruiser-assassin-stealth guy that can jump a mile out of a brush and instakill your ADC with 0 counterplay.

Well actually, he has nothing innately good about his abilities. His passive is the best part of his kit, his Q and W having been gutted. BUT, he is so poorly designed that he doesn't need anything other than his Q reset, which enables him to apply the stats he gets from AD items 3 times, killing any squishy even with terrible base damage. That's all he is: a stupid reset-based gimmick + a way to reach his target with his ult or passive. A shame, because it wastes a visually iconic theme on the worst kit in the game.

And the AD ratio on his Q being able to crit on top of the damage from the attached auto critting (giving 50% bigger crits on empowered Q) is not innately good?

My main issue is how he can constantly jump out of a brush so far with basically no cooldown. As a jungler he uses this for ambushes/ganks if possible, but as a top laner he's impossible to fight. I think he still needs nerfs or just a rework, he's either going to instakill EVERYONE on your team with absolutely no counterplay at all, or he's just going to be irrelevant.

cant agree more, people are complaining about her being to stronf but they dont even take this into account

A champion shouldn't be stronger just because they are harder to master. You would never have balance if that was the case. Harder to play champions usually have more counterplay in their kit, so that makes up for it.

Why would people play higher skilled champs if they weren't any better than some easy ass champ to play.. Most of the hardest champs to mechanically play are insanely strong.

That argument goes both ways. Why would you play a lower skill champ when the higher one is stronger? The higher skill cap champs have innate abilities in their kit that allow for more counterplay. They don't need to be OP to be successful. That is why Zed and LB are still good even though they have been nerfed.

People play champs that they like and identify with. Why punish them by making their champion weak just because it is a little easier to play? If every champion has a chance to beat every other one, the game is actually much more fun.

She's clunky, Riot is trying to compensate and give her a better skill ceiling rather than dropping the floor.

I don't like where I end up positioned after rappel, it sets the target location when you cast, but the cast-travel time is long enough that the enemy champ has had time to walk away. So you are still out of range for an auto-attack, like you jumped through the sky to get to them, but decided to jump too short.

I wish the target location was calculated after the cast time, so you land either in front or directly behind them, not a teemo or two away. I wish it were a bit more like akali's rework on R, to pop you to the other side of them.

I agree her play isn't quite as smooth as it should be and she still isn't competitive with top tier junglers despite having a strong early game. The few that can play her well are quite strong though so aside from smoothing out her game play I think she is in a much better place than she's been in for like... a year.

The people who bitch about Elise are the ones that have never even played her. Her kit has quite a bit of counter play and if you fuck her over and she gets behind it is near impossible to come back. I think she's in a good spot right now, she could use a little smoothing on her rappel mechanics especially after the range nerf on it. And yes she's a strong pick right now but I don't believe she deserves the ban rate she has which I chock up to ignorance/respect for the fact that she's back. There are much more deserving bans right now though.

If they ever choose to reduce her power, I would want them to hit her Rappel E bonus first.

Haha. It's usually irrelevant so I won't feel a power loss, really.
