Invern is the worst jg ever

Wolf Queen··2 votes·3,160 views

I just watched him played on PBE and he is literally the worst jg in the game. Not only is his ult a useless ult, its like a tibbers but without annies passive, the enemy literally has to sit there afk for the stun to happen. His jg clear is also the worst design i have ever seen. He has to right click a camp then leave the camp and come back to it before he can kill it. I can literally walk up on any jungler and just steal it after he leaves. He is the worst jungler ever made, and here i thought that a rammus/amumu was easy to counter jg...dam Invern is a whole new tier of just god awfully bad.

I was born with glass bones and paper skin. Every morning I break my legs, and every afternoon I break my arms. At night, I lie awake in agony until my heart attacks put me to sleep.

.....i think smite has a cd and isnt perma up

Yes, that is true, but you make it sound like he can't summoner 11 for an instant clear.

Yeah but who cares? He literally does zero damage compared to literally every other jungler. He really doesn't need red buff, or basically any buff exc blue. He's good for utility but if you need damage DO NOT pick him.

his shield (E) can clear a wave of minions just by itself. that's plenty of damage imo. also his auto attack gets boosted by his W, he can do plenty of damage I think, not on scale for an adc, but he isn't an adc so

I was thinking he was a very very strong early game jungle champ, he kinda falls off in the late game in jungle clear. but is still strong. and you shouldn't really be clearing jungle in late game anyway.

his best thing I noticed was he can give blue/red buff to someone and still also get the buffs for himself at the same time.

also he doesn't need a leash, making him strong imo

in the late game he is more about team fights instead of jungle clearing. and I think he is decent in team fights. he has his ult that will knock players up if 3 attacks on the same champ. he has a shield that he can place on anyone and does damage after awhile (Sion) and he has a skillshot root.

that's debatable, while he doesn't need the leash per se, he's seriously susceptible to invades, he's probably the slowest champion with the least amount of damage at lvl 1...

I'd say that's a huge wrong. he is susceptible to getting his jungle minions cleared by the enemy jungle, but not really susceptible to invades. you can tell where he was, that's about it. (cause of the ring around the jungle creeps)

the smart idea (imo) would be to do the thing to the minions, and chill safely in your lane or something until it's time to go pick up your free gold

Uhm I guess that if you don't begin at a regular spot he's kind of hard to track down, but say if he begins at blue and the enemy team roams around there and catches him without his team, he's dead.

Also there's still a lot of things to understand about his passive, like the ring seems to be currently bugged, and if the monster leaves the circle he apparently needs to recast it from 0, actually I think that aggroing the jungler monsters resets his passive as well :S

from the videos I saw, aggroing didn't reset the passive at all, or leaving the circle didn't matter either. but /shrugs, who knows.

also that would mean death for almost anyone, you know that right? if the enemy team roams and catches you without your team, you will probably die on just about any champ. esp in the early early game

yeah that's what I'm saying :P he doesn't need the leash itself, but leaving him alone in the jungle at lvl 1 is as equally dangerous, if not more, than with any other jungler, so, keep him company at least until minions go through :P

If I pick him up I'll be playing him toplane. Steal some of your jungler's camps, and some of theirs.

I was thinking about him top lane, but his ult damage directly connects to your damage (and I don't mean the normal way) I can't justify seeming him as a tank-type build, which I think most top laners should be.

Build him like cho'gath/rumble. Mission accomplished.

If you look at it that way, I really can't justify building amumu as a tank because his ap scalings are fucking amazing.

amumu doesn't really go top lane though...that's a lane lost to the ages. and yes amumu does scale amazing on AP. but him as a tank jungle is just kind of a given

Well, uh, get warmogs, and damn, tank ivern is pretty much a given! He doesn't need to build damage to jungle, and he doesn't need damage to participate as he has cc, so I don't see why top lane would be any different. Plus a rod of ages rylai abyssal and bam he's tanky af.

Obviously you didn't stay very long. I watched 3 games won in a row, one where Ivern turned what was a losing game (they started out 0 and 5 ffs) into a turn around stomp. He is not the worst jungler ever, he might just be the best in fact

BeatzBoyFTW1 votes

Yea yea yeah, you do know we get jerks like you who talks all he wants without learning his ability curves or even trying the new champion himself.

The enemy has to sit there AFK--

or perhaps if they were rooted, they might be especially susceptible and it would result in a powerful combination.

Now, if only somebody in this game could root enemies. Like a champion made, at least partially, of roots. :^)

EDIT: Also, Invern?

Ivern Bramblefoot is a true support-jungler, arguably the first of his kind.
