Because the spell is clearly intended to be around the same range as her auto attacks, but it's just ever so slightly shorter, constantly leading to situations where you can just barely not get the spell off on a target you're autoing at max range. Needless to say, this feels really fucking bad. I get that this would technically be a buff to Kayle and I would happily see her nerfed in exchange if necessary.
Darkdemon6531 votesI just tested it myself as I had never had this problem before. Her Q range is perfectly fine to reach the target she is auto-attacking with E up.
Did you perhaps have one or more size-increasing buffs? I don't know if they can cause Kayle to get big enough for it to become an issue, but I suppose it's possible.

Narzal1 votesThey're not going to buff it because it'd be the same issue with annie, she could perfectly auto and q a moving target from max range consistently smoothly, so they had to nerf the range of 1 or the other, lol I'm jk 625 attack range that's more than majority of ranged champs Anyway the real issue is that the Q has a cast time in there, it'll wind up the animation but if they leave the range it's incomplete so kayle just stutters.
