Season 10 Double Relic bot lanes?
since you can now proc it from a ranged attack, how will this not happen? I thought that is why they made it for melee only

It was never melee only. The execute just didn't exist for ranged champions. Ranged champions could buy it and use it; it was just harder. .-.
Its been a thing a few times.
The relic shield has always shared gold, but only melee got the execute on low health.
Several times in the past I had taken if if I was getting 
on my first back, and I had enough gold for relic, I would get both for a sustain lane.
It may be a bit more common now since there will be an AD stat version though.
