Question about LP amounts, (Ranked games).

Hello, my question is what determines the number of LP you gain or loose ?

I usually won 23 lp per game now only 19. Loosing lp has increased too.

My question is why ?

you are hitting the point that the Algorithm has determined you have hit your relative ceiling.

You can keep playing the way you play and this will be a win loss thing and you will be roughly around 50% win rate.
or you can start changing your play style and doing some reading to learn this game more indepth. This will start helping you climb and the increase in LP gain will get marginally greater.

you are currently at 29-27 so roughly that 50% expected. Say hello to your current natural elo.

from a person who has climbed the ranks, you get easy off balance games that the algorithm expects you to win. then they will throw you into a game of feeders on their way down. if you win that one you continue climbing greatly. The best i have done was to skip 2 levels from G4 to G1. normally the skip occurs after the promos.

MMR is the quick answer.

Your rank (metal x, xx lp) and your skill level (commonly referred to as just "MMR", which is a numerical calculation of your skill level, essentially) are tracked separately. So if you are ranked below your actual skill level, you should be gaining more lp on wins and losing less on losses. That's basically what helps you climb.

But every win and loss affects your MMR, too, so those values change as you play and especially as you climb.
