Can we talk about how broken Zilean's ultimate is Riot? Please respond.

I've made a thread on this once, got downvoted to hell, but seeing this broken champion being played by Faker in lcs is just disgusting.

That ultimate needs a nerf. The CD is just way too low for the amount it revives. Extremely to low. The CD needs to be increased about 30 more seconds. Literally Faker dies, instantly revives nearly full HP.

Zilean overall is just toxic. He has a massive speed boost to catch anyone in the game. You ain't gonna catch him if you try to chase him. He has massive damage. He has a stun that can stun multiple people.

But the main problem I have had with this champion for a long time is how low the CD on his ultimate truly is. It needs a nerf, and needs to be increased by a huge amount.

easily outplayed if you do it right, as most do, just wait until the ulti wears off. Bard also counters it because if the zilean ulties too soon, even if its by a fraction of a second, then its entire time is almost gone because the bard ulti just makes everything stop apart from the timer. If you have troubles with the bombs, currently qss or sivir, or possible cleanse? or just get some speed....... the only problem youll have is late game when zilean has a 99% slow.... also your talking about a champion that actually transitions from early to late game fairly hard..... if you dont get your gold/kills and exp, your passive will be worthless when everyone is lvl 18, or even if everyone except you is lvl 18.... early game it helps for that extra exp but your going to barely get about 6-10 levels out before its pretty much useless..... and thats being generous

Just cause it has outplay does not mean it's healthy. What if Ekko could ultimate every 10 seconds? Or what if Tryndamere could ultimate every 10 seconds? What if Sion could ultimate every 10? Just cause you can outplay the ultimate doesn't mean it's a healthy ultimate.

Also, you shouldn't have to pick a specific champion every time to go against that champion. A good team just demonstrated on how broken Zilean is. If he dies? No problem, he has the ultimate and a team backing him up right away.

Stop defending him. His ultimate is too short.

"every 10 seconds" is a major exaggeration, his ult at rank 3 is on a 60 seconds base CD, ekkos is on a 70 second. just because you cannot play against a zilean does not make it broken. there is a reason Faker made it look so good is because hes a professional player playing on stage with his team that have literally 100s of hours of practice playing around said champion.

faker is i guess arguably one of the best.... mid laners? i think, playing the game. Ive only seen a few things of him playing as im going through different vids randomly, and I do say he is pretty good. I hardly ever watch LCS so my opinion is kinda meh here xD but with how much hes talked about hes famous for his skills for sure. Zilean ulti with a 60 sec cd and having 40% off is only like.... what... 36 second? think of zed, and morde, and etc etc and lux and etc etc.

Pretty much the point here is, just treat it like a zhonyas, wait for it to wear out, or kill them and then set up a barrage of traps for the zilean as he comes back..... or whoever the zilean ulties.

The ENTIRE game is all situational, think of it this way, if you know the enemy team has a trundle.... who would you pick vs them, and why? same goes for if the entire enemy team is ad, malphite and rammus would be two for sure picks, because they scale off armor and do best with it. You would more likely stay away from using Galio because he scales off mr, and if the entire enemy team is ad, the mr passive will be kinda useless, and they would counter with early on last whispers, black cleavers, etc..... This is what is called Countering. You do this in Draft pick after bans, and then in game too with how you build. Just counter the zilean, cc him and lock him down and force him into using ulti, his bombs are time delayed and if you stick with a friend that knows how to do this correctly..... you stick very close together and you both go in, zilean bombs, he rewinds, he bombs again, you back off a little and your friend grabs the bomb avoiding the stun, the bomb combo is down for long enough to engage. Just be sure to have some magic resistance because those bombs CAN do upwards of 1k damage each :) its strong but if you dont build any mr, and you cant dodge the bombs..... shame on you, not shame on riot for making a "broken" champ because you cant kite a bomb that takes half a sec to a sec to fall..... which is a lot more time than youd get from a talon or katarina.
